686 Airflight Woodland Polyquilt Vest
Practically good temperature range.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
I have tested it in humid slightly windy +10 weather with T-shirt and in stable -3C slightly windy weather in mountain resort with insulated shirt. No worries at all. Especially I am impressed of hood insulation- very comfortable.
Perfect for layering as cold ends...
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Ok... so this vest is not needed right now here in California but I travel quite a bit and it is still $hit cold outside in some spots. Just used this vest up in Washington and it gave enough warmth that was needed in the mountains. It is a regular fit so an XL fits like an XL. It it not bulky like some vests but manages to keep that core warm enough. The hood ties are way to long... had to cut these down a bit. The hood does not come off which is the only drag. Given that, wearing it over a hoodie will not work as as long sleeve T will. According to 868 it can zip into a smarty jacket.... worth th price? Ya...
