Personally, I'd go with the 30s. Here is why... I would rather have my shorts a little snug than falling off my when I'm swimming or walking around. Also, dude butt cracks are NAAAAASTY!

Love these trunks they fit a little baggy and come down to my knees. The material is soft micro suede with some nice quality touches like the neoprene stretch under the fly and overall solid construction. Love the print on the mountain now you can rock it at the beach.Bought the 32" I'm 5'11" 165 lbs. perfect fit as 686 usually runs big in their winter gear but these seem true to size.
