686 rules! Awesome Pant!
Comfy, good fit for layering, not the most waterproof pant but do just fine for a day on the slopes. If you are back-country skiing/boarding Id recommend something with a high WP rating but for the Price I cant think of anything better. Wish they made skier versions of these with the re-enforced inner ankle panels so my skis wouldn't chew them up. But thats not the gears fault.
The Grass color is AWESOME
I bought these pants for my son. He was very pleased. They fit well and are warm, but not bulky.

- Familiarity: I've used it several times
These pants fit great, they're a little less baggy than your average snowboard pants, and they're not incredibly insulated, but there's still plenty of room for layering, and no need to worry about how well you can move in these.
My only complaint (and it is a minor one) is that the velcro on the pockets tears up my base layers. If they switched where the hook and loop velcro bits are, I think it would result in less damage to my base layers. (currently, the hook side of the velcro is on the flap covering the pockets, when you reach into your pocket your forearm rubs against this hard velcro and it starts to rip up your softer base layers)
686 - Great Pants

- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Ordered the pants before the holidays and I have used them 10+ times. Great fit, plenty of pockets, quality Velcro and zippers. Takes the bagginess out of the pants without being too tight. Thin but warm. Great pants
These are pretty good pants, they keep you dry and aren't so baggy that they get in the way. Because they have no insulation they need a little under them, but still great.
686 kills it again
The turquoise color of these pants is awesome, you really stand out with these guys on. Wore them out on the mountain yesterday in 15-20 degree weather and was warm and dry all day. They didn't even soak through when I sat in the snow for an extended period of time like my old pants.
Also, I'm only a size 28 waist and pant length of 30 and the smalls fit great. The waist is adjustable for small guys like me, and the length is perfect once you throw your boots on. Overall, love these pants and no regrets on this purchase.

A good looking skinny pant!
These pants are awesome, they fit a lil skinnier than most pants and are still very warm. They are great and have plenty of pockets on them. If you like a good warm, skinny fitting pant, then this is for you!
