Hey boring, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
White bread. Laundry. Minivans. These are things that are boring. Things that are not boring include skydiving, base jumping, and the 686 Mannuel Epsilon Insulated Men's Jacket, which is brightly color-blocked and boasts textured fabric panels to give it a unique, eye-catching look. It's also waterproof, thanks to an InfiDry-8 membrane and taped critical seams, and warm, courtesy of 80g insulation in the body of the jacket. So, when the snow starts falling, toss your tunes in the inner pocket, button down the adjustable powder skirt, and shred your secret stashes in explosive style.

Just received, will update!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Received this as a gift for christmas, unfortunately it was not purchased from backcountry but I figured I'd add a review anyway cuz I love this place! I haven't had a chance to try it on the hill yet but I will say this looks pretty fresh in person. The all access fit is good I'm 6 ft, 200lbs fairly athletic solid build haha. I like to have space in my clothes but not super baggy and this XL jacket fits the bill. The lining in the hood, SO COMFY and SOFT! It feels like it shouldn't be warm because it's so light but it is toasty. It has kept me warm around town with temps in the upper 20s right in its effective range. I am waiting on a pair of 686 smarty original cargo pants (ordered from here) to go with this and I have a feeling the duo will operate flawlessly on the hill! I'm heading to Mont Tremblant QC next week so that'll be the real test! 4 stars based off off hill performance, I will update after some uses!
EDIT: So my trip to Mont Tremblant was a success! First day on the hill it was -20. Clearly that's outside of this jackets range but on the upside there was plenty of room underneath this jacket for layering up! it kept the wind out the hood protected my neck even when it wasn't up. Each day was warmer than the first and by our last day out there it was about a low of 7 and a high of 20. This jacket was GREAT! some under armor and a long sleeve shirt fit the bill. It performed great all together especially with my green 686 smarty cargo pants. props to 686, I highly recommend this jacket
