on the short side
I was nervous by the pictures that the jacket would look frumpy, but no it's cute in person. It's just on the short side, length-wise. I dont want snow on my back or down my pants so i returned it. I would order a size up. Maybe then it wouldn't ride up so much. It's probably just me though, I like my jackets long and to sit well below my hips.
the size runs a little big. im usually a med but after chatting with the online help on this site, i decided to get a small. the fit is nice, its comfortable, not too fluffy, not to warm. its nice
stylish & warm
love the taupe denim color. super cute jacket with large pockets for all my things. wish someone told me it runs small. got the xm and thought it'd be ok because i'm teeny, but it was too tight on the hip...kept sliding up. the hood is large enough to cover even with a helmet

yo, so im lookin at this jacket in gunmetal and on the 686 website it shows that it has a green lining on the inside of the hood and on this pic it looks like it doesn't have it. anyone know if it does? also, a lot of people are commenting on sizing...i usually wear a small, so if i want some room should i go medium or large?
there's no green lining and I'd say go up a size or two because the jacket is pretty short otherwise and if you want to layer under you'll have more room

On the picture, the cuff seems tight. May I know is it okay to wear gloves while go snowboard riding? Do you need squeeze the gloves into the cuff?
no way you'll fit ur gloves underneath the cuffs..they're super tight, which is what prevents snow from getting in. i wore my mittens, which could be tightened on the wrist, over the cuffs and that worked perfectly. completely dry!
The color is a tad greener(turquoise) than it seems on the picture... it's indeed a cool color! When I'm out in the slopes people constantly asks me where I got my gear from. I've combinated the jacket with the 686 Mannual Bliss Insulated Pant in Orchid Denim.... sounds like it wouldn't be a good match but it's great!!! Suitable for a person that want to be in-fashion and warm.
Awesome winter jacket. Perfect for a wintery day or out on the slopes. Very cute, affordable and comfy!

heyo. was wondering how this jacket withstood pretty cold weather- with the powder skirt and gaiters.. normally 686 is kind of short on the backside, not offering alot of protection against snow on the bum. any thoughts? is this worth buying if it's really cold and pretty wet out? lemme know thanks!
yeah it a little bit on the shorter side but the snowbelt willl protect your backside.. i really like the jacket.. nice and warm and fits ideal for me to... i got a large and im not very large so id go with a bigger size.. i ordered a medium and had to exchange
great for good price
Hi, I thought the jacket will be some kind of a sortshell jacket because of it's price but it isn't. It's very warm, looks good and is stylish. Very comfortable jacket. The only disadvantage is that it could have more interior pockets . I usually wear M or L size, I bought L because I've never had 696 before, in my opinion their "L" is really "L". I might have chosen a little bit smaller M. But anyway I would recommend this jacket to everybody. Oh and one more thing - the material is really nice.. it's a kind of denim - it's not this usual material which is usually used for snowboard jackets. The material is great!
