Hmm I think XL might be pretty big on you. If you click on the "view sizing chart" button, above the Add to Cart button, it says XL pants fit a waist of 36-39 inches.

...a pair that fit someone who is not tall and skinny.Excellent fit and movement through waist and thigh. Warm without being bulky. Add fleece and/or wool legging in extreme cold Acid color great, a highlighter shade of yellow vs banana yellow.

These pants look great and fit a skinny/tall person quite well. They are very comfortable and very breathable/warm. These pants can attract some attention too cause they are pretty bright. If you want a pant that is made right and will last check out the 686 nanos for sure.
