Great concept, nice design. Looks awesome, but sucks that you have to take your belt off to use. Its more of a novelty accessory than useful tool. Still very happy with it.
Why didn't MacGyver have one of these?
Awesome idea, I wear this every day, who knows when you'll need a screwdriver or a bottle opener. Does get a few strange looks when someone asks for a bottle opener and you start taking your belt off like your taking your pants off. Yet to test it out with airline security, goes in the hand luggage whenever I fly as I'm worried they'll think I'm going to try and dismantle the plane.
just don't get it wet. it rusts right up...
686 Original Tool Belt
Prefect gift for my bro who will leave at the drop of a dime if I barley whisper a hint of maybe taking a "quick" trip to Mammoth. He's ultra prepared on the mountain now...even if I need him to crack open a bottle for me
Great gift idea for snowboarders
My boyfriend is an avid snowboarder and he has almost every major piece of equipment and/or accessory. Luckily I came across this item... read several of the reviews... needless to say, everyone was spot on and my boyfriend absolutely loved the gift!
simple is better
Great if you want a belt and tool in one. I have the studded belt but wish i had this one because it is a lot lighter. The tools of this belt have come in handy many times.
Best gift EVER
Ladies if you are looking to impress your man with something .. get this! It will impress his friends as well ... and you will end up looking like the coolest chick around. Although I dont require this belt he definitely needed it and loves it to death and likes that nobody else has one.
In a crunch!
This belt has saved me a few times. I wear it as a riding belt. You never know when you might need to tighten you binding, fix a strap or open a beer!
Best gift ever
I got this belt for my brother (a man who still thinks of snowboarding as a religion instead of a sport) nearly ten years ago for Christmas. He is still wearing and using it. He claims to this day that it was the best gift his little sister could've ever gotten him. So naturally I had to pick up another one.
Best Belt Ever!
The 686 belt has been practically a life-saver. 2 screwdrivers, wrench and, yes, a bottle opener! Stylish too! Virtually everyone I camp with now wants one.
Girls can have fun too...
I don't care if it's a mens belt. I still bought it anyway and it's the best belt I've ever purchased. Nice for those who hate taking tools on the mountain with them.
Good belt, nice leather, philips screw driver is good to have up on the mountain, but bottle opener is worthless. I was unable to open any single bottle, its shape is not right. Otherwise great belt. Fits Burton pants with no problems.
This belt comes in handy both on and off the slopes. The only complaint I have is that the leather scuffs pretty easily....
Most useful Gadget-Apparel
I bought this Tool belt for my boyfriend. He loves it. It is the most useful gadget-apparel you could buy. Instead of him having to carry a small tool pack in his pocket on our snowboarding trips (completely unsafe), he know has the convenience of needed tools on his belt. We both love the style and the convenience of this Toolbelt. It is definitely a 'must have'.
This belt is very convenient to take snowboarding with you. No need for tool tables.
A 686 original
The Toolbelt is the first product that I ever saw from 686 like almost ten years ago. The belt itself is made from heavy leather and holds up to being worn snowboarding without stretching and getting waterlogged. The tools come in handy when youve hiked to the top of Wolverine Cirque and discovered that your buddys binding screws are loose definitely no place to drop in with a screw loose! Im kind of scrawny with a 31 inch waist (medium snowboard pants) and use the Toolbelt in a size medium.
686 Tool belt
This belt is very well constructed, thick leather and good strong buckle. Belt buckle can also be removed from leather to use the tools. Excellent product.
