686 Original Snow Toolbelt

The 686 Original Snow Toolbelt has your back when your bindings flail. Don't miss your well-deserved freshies because your binding is sliding around. The Toolbelt's integrated #2 Phillips and #2 flathead screwdrivers, and 1/2, 9/16, and 3/8-inch wrenches help you rectify any on-snow mechanical inconvenience. Why worry about pocketing extra tools? If you're wearing pants and you hold them up with the Original Snowboard Belt, you're set for anything.

Bottom Line: The 686 Original Snow Toolbelt—we doubt that a better example of form-and-function has ever existed.

I'm a 32 belt size and i got the brown M...
i fit into the third hole, so it fits ok, but it would fit better with a large, but im satisfied with the one ive got.

the bottle opener works great, and it has a really solid feel to it, really like this a lot!

just something to be aware of, the philips/flat head parts of the belt are the only part the go through the hole, dont know if this makes that much sense, but i figured it was worth mentioning.

ive been using this belt for about 2 years now...its the same one from my original comment back in 2010, still holding strong..which i find incredible...most leather belts ive owned have torn in 6months - a year...although ive moved up a hole (now on number 4) thats after wearing this belt EVER SINGLE DAY...and i use the metal screwdrivers all the time, for things that arent even snowboarding related...also, i do a bunch of traveling, havent had one issue with wearing this thing through the airport, just throw it into the x-ray machine and your good to go...bottom line...if you dont own this yet..your missing out on an amazing deal

Service was great! Belt got here in a timely manner. My bf absolutely loves the belt! This one I got for him was a replacement. The one he had prior lasted forever. so if you want a hefty belt, this is a great one!

This is the belt Chuck Norris wears with his

First the buckle with the tools is awesome, but the leather for the belt is cheap and weak. I would love to give this a higher rating but the quality of the leather is just to poor. I would definitly get another one but will change out the leather. I wear a 32 pant and the large size fits great.

What's Not To Love?

By:
October 8, 2012

I originally bought this belt in 2001 in black. That belt got confiscated at the airport 3 years later, sad day. I bought another one as soon as I could and I have kept the same buckle for the past 8 years going through about three replacement belts of differing qualities. I wish 686 would sell replacement leather that fits the buckle, because the buckle will never wear out and never goes out of style, cause it is a style all its own. I will probably wear this useful buckle far past the days I hit the mountain.

Macgyver owned one.

By:
November 18, 2011

This belt is the best belt I have ever owned. The leather is super strong and even when wet it stays the same size with very little stretch even when wearing the belt on you ass. I have never worn pants on my hips so I have been through my share of belts. But this on is still rocking it strong. The only down side is it smells like leather, I mean like you just walked into a Harley Davidson convention. So bad I had to keep away from everything or it would smell just like the belt. Small price to pay for the best belt in the world!

BUY IT NOW

By:
September 11, 2011

Hands down the best belt, i've ever owned, and IF it every breaks I'm going to buy the exact same belt. It's perfect for any snowboarder, need to adjust your setup while on the mountain? Just pullover and take off the buckle and get to work. Then once you're done shredding, crack open a few beers with the bottle opener. In other words, this belt helps creating the perfect day!!

Kick-ass Belt

By:
January 30, 2012

This belt is fantastic. It's interesting, useful, comfortable, looks good, and makes me feel like Batman when I wear it. The only downside? There's no place to hold the Batarangs. Buy this belt.

They should have just called it the awesome belt!

By:
July 3, 2011

i finally bought my second one. i had the black one and i wore it pretty much everyday (skiing, biking, living) for about 5 years and it's still going strong, but the leather had stretched out a bit. so i bought the white one and it's just as awesome, maybe better! 686 is the bees knees!

great belt, beware of size chart

By:
February 21, 2008

this is one of the best belts i've ever bought, however beware of the sizing chart because i wear a 34 waist and barely fit into the last notch on the belt. i should have boughten a belt size larger than what they recommended

Very Cool & Very Useful

By:
February 2, 2012

Sorry to say that I don't snowboard, but this belt makes the average guy into MacGyver.

First of all, the belt is attractive and high quality (i went with the brown but might get the black one, too)
And the tool buckle is well made and does actually work. Within the first week I had already used the Phillips head 2 times to the amazement of my friends.

Get it. Just for the novelty alone its worth it...but then it really works....so its a home run.

Definitely Worth The Cake

By:
December 30, 2010

I like this belt a lot. It pretty much rocks. Looks sweet and feels well made.

Definitely get a size larger, you can always jab more holes in the leather if needed.

Being that it is leather it will deform a little in the back if you spend your day falling down the mountain like a gaper. So not really water proof, more like water resistant. Will still look sweet, just not as sweet as it could, only reason it doesn't get the full five stars.

Great belt, Sizing is off

By:
January 20, 2010

The belt itself is very nice, but it fits very snug. I have a 33-34 waist size, and bought a large and I barely fit in the last notch, so I would go with a size up of what's recommended.

Cool belt but too small

By:
January 1, 2010

Cool belt but too small for its size. I bought it for my brother and he normally wear a belt with medium size but this one is too small even for me a girl who wears a medium size in girl size

Tote-a-toolbelt

By:
March 13, 2009

This item is a must for the serious rider. It is very functional and stylish as well. The metal loop also has wrenches integrated into it to make adjustments which I found to be an interesting bonus. Like previous reviews I would STRONGLY recommend ordering one size larger than usual due to the unisex sizing.

Holy Utility Belt Batman - This Belt Rocks!

By:
January 9, 2008

Yes... This belt is not only cool but it's functional as well, like the advertising says. I was riding at Mount Baker last weekend and after riding down Gabel's, at the top of C-5 while strapping in, my binding screw came out. I just took my belt off and screwed it back in - THE BELT SAVED MY DAY- (I still need to try the beer opener!)

Snow Belt

By:
November 1, 2007

Great belt and it's nice to know the tools are handy if you need them. The bottle opener is cool, but if they had flipped it over you could use it without taking it off.

Overall it's two thumbs up.

you could just flip the buckle over, or wear the belt the other way around so its facing up which would be kinda awkward but then the bottle opener would work

UNISEX SIZING!

By:
March 27, 2008

Great belt, but the Large isn't quite your typical large. It comes in "unisex" sizing, so although the measurements work it's pretty snug.

Returned it because it doesn't have a #3 Phillips head which is what all base plate screws are...

The screwdrivers are great and I love and use them all the time, but after two years I still haven't found anything I needed to unscrew that the sockets worked on. It'd be sweet if they were the size of the sockets on a skate tool.
