Clean, techy style for riding filthy lines.
Named for 686 team shredder Pat McCarthy, the 686 Men's Plexus McCarthy Jacket boasts a clean look and backs it up with top-notch tech, like an InfiDry 20K waterproof membrane and fully-taped seams. It also vents like it was designed by an HVAC technician, thanks to underarm vents and laser-cut front collar perforations that whisk moisture away from your face, stopping beardcicles before they grow to resemble walrus tusks. There are also hook-and-loop cuffs that double as wrist gaiters, and a powder skirt that attaches to compatible 686 pants. Stash your pass in the retractable pocket for easy access when you're in the resort, enjoy the articulated elbows and ergonomic design when you're hiking for lines in the backcountry, and look good the whole time.

Great Shell for the Job
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
This is a Great Shell for any Job. I like Layering, especially when hiking in the back country so with the rt system this jacket is great for all temps! The High wind/H2O proofing holds it own against the elements & It's very packable one you get hot. Love the Fit too!
Nice jacket but missing wrist gaiters
I just received this jacket and it looks awesome. Basic features for a shell, pant to jacket interface works with burton pants. The one thing that is NOT included but listed here is the Lycra wrist gaiters (also listed on 686 website). I am 5 10 165lb and Medium fit me well with just enough room to layer. The arms are slightly tailored and not super baggy.
