Goodbye Clown Pants :-)

ever feel a little ridiculous walking into a store to grab coffee on the way to the mountain? well feel no more embarrassment in theses pants. super stylish, modern fit, and 100% awesome. so far i've had 2 days on the mountain (Stevens Pass) and would highly recommend these for full days of riding. luckily i havent had to try them out in the rain so i cant really talk about how they handle in wet conditions. but one thing to note is that they are on the chilly side compared to the same base + Ride pants i had before. the pants fit true to size, i'm 34" 30" and they run a tad long per the guide for mediums. my only complaint is the shoelace belt. its kinda tough to keep them out of the urinal when taking a bathroom break. look as good as it feels taking bluebird turns on soft snow.
update: after a few more days out, cold/sunny and powder/snowing, still 100% happy and would highly recommend these pants. enough room to double up base layer on a cold day and stayed dry on a full powder and storm day.

These pants are just sick. So many good things to say about them so ill try to keep it to a minimum. First off, the fit is perfect. I got a Large and I wear a size 34 jeans with a belt. Slim but plenty of room to layer underneath. They look sick as hell too. I got the Black twill and they are killer. These things are heavy and just feel solid. Like a pant that will last a long time which is good to me. They also protect against wind pretty damn good. I was up in some -20 wind chill and these bad boys kept me warm. I was a little suprised too because the temp rating is only 20-40. Plus if you get hot, you can unzip the inseam vents to get rid of heat. Just wish they were a little wider. The waterproofing does its job and keeps you dry as balls. Pretty impressive. There are so many pockets and they all zipper, except the back pockets which are velcro, so you dont have to worry about losing anything. Im loving the side cargo pocket too. Its sick. I dont really use the gaiters, i think they are tight enough that you dont need them. Which leads me to my only real complaint about these pants and its that the snaps at the bottom unsnap pretty easily. I wish they were zippered. But its not a big deal. I wish these pants were like 20/30 bucks cheaper too. But you cant go wrong buying it from Dogfunk!
Good Modern Fit
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Great pants. The fit for me was right on (usually a Small 30"-32") Felt closer to 32" now that I think more about it. Good construction, this is usually the case coming from 686. Inseam vents are nice and long but could be a little wider but thats all I have to complain about. Overall great pants for the new season so far. I will give another update sometime closer to summer.
lean to the smaller size

I'm in between a small and medium in most winter pants, and these are definitely a small for me - 5'10" 30.5"waist. Great pants though, very comfortable and don't look ridiculous post-game
Streets to Slopes
I've been running 686 gear for the past three years now and I continue to stand by it. Getting a new pair Reserved Raw pants has become a yearly tradition of sorts. I was stoked to see that 686 introduced a ton of new colors which got me hyped. However, I'll still be running the tried and true denim ones.
I like these pants because they are simple pants that look, feel, and function well. I ride all over the mountain in them and always stay dry and always stay hyped. I've ridden these in the worst weather the Northwest has to offer (8 hours of rain), to the deepest dry pow Utah has to offer (3 feet of pow), to the soggiest summer slush at MT. Hood (bottomless mashed potatoes). Given there is absolutely nothing that will keep you absolutely dry on those Rainy days in Washington, the Raw pant does a damn good job of trying. And thats why I keep on buying them.
Pretty much the most versatile snowboard pant out there. Looking like a regular guy on the slopes is important to me, so these pants were an obvious choice. 5- pocket styling, cut like a pair of jeans with good materials? done. Paired with all the good stuff, any quality pair of snowboard pants is required to have. Waterproofing, gaiters, snaps at the bottom, critically taped seams and inner leg vents. I'll be buying this pant for years to come.
I think pretty much anyone looking for a good functioning/good looking pant that wont break the bank would be more than happy with these things! On top of all this they fit true to size I wear a medium, im 5'10" with a 32" waist. Every pair i've had over the last 3 years has been consistent with the last.
