Description

All about the tech.

Slide your hands into the 686 Smarty Command Insulated Glove and let the high-tech fabrics and infiDry laminate shield you from heavy snow and sub-freezing conditions. These no-nonsense gloves mix straightforward style with smart Smarty design that, like the Smarty jackets, includes a cozy removable liner glove so you get focused weather protection and versatile function.

  • InfiDry inserts keep your hands dry with 15K/10K waterproof breathable protection
  • Nylon oxford fabric is tough enough to handle the occasional love affair with tree branches and rough ice patches
  • DuPont DWR finish sheds the initial onslaught of precipitation so you stay drier longer
  • Removable Smarty microfleece liners are waterproof, as well as are insanely soft and cozy; since you can pull them out to dryyour gloves will stay
  • Fiberfill insulation (180g over the backs of your hands and 60g in the palms) traps warmth without adding unnecessary bulk
  • Pre-curved, articulated shape is built for riding
  • Gauntlets with locking cinch cords overlap your jacket cuffs to keep snow out
  • Sand Grip anti-slip palm reinforcements help ou grab with authority
  • Elasticized wrist with ladderlock buckles and webbing strap stop these gloves from flying off during particularly nasty wipes
  • Velvex nose wipe keeps your face clean when the cold gives you the sniffles
  • Thermal-rated 20F to -10F

Are they "totally" water proof ?

these gloves are not "totally" waterproof but they do have a 15k rating which really good. if you need "totally" waterproof you should look at rubber gloves or latex.
