Utilitarian by design.
With improved fit and features, the Smarty Command 3-In-1 Jacket remains a staple for all riders with a style that goes with anybody and anything. The Command's burly waterproof shell runs the show, while the removable track-jacket style 250g microfleece liner makes layering effortless (and also makes for a nice piece of streetwear). With plenty of storage, the Command can hold everything you need for the day, and some things you don't. A convenient stash-pass chest pocket makes your essential lift-riding credentials easily presentable for lifties with an attitude.

A backpack in jacket
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: Runs large
This jacket holds freaking everything. There are a ton of pockets to store whatever you need, wherever you choose to for the day. I honestly never use the liner because it's thin and unnecessary. This jacket is seriously warm enough by itself. I normally only wear a long sleeve and tee under this. The only time I'm actually cold in this jacket is on the lift. Only problem is that it is a little baggier than I normally like. It still looks great, but I like to wear a hydration pack when I ride and it looks awkward over this jacket. Still, for a bigger jacket, it looks awesome and the bright lime green jacket stands out.
Great jacket, kept me warm and dry
- Gender: Male
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Kept the snow out, be sure to use the pant connectors for the full effect. Lots of pockets with zippers for your lift pass and other essentials.
Great jacket...love 686
My second 686 jacket. I love this jacket. I got the red XL. Great price. Warm and super comfy. Fits true to size! Can't wait for the winter.

Does size chart above clearly represent jackets measurements ? I have measured sleeve length of my 686 times levi softshell and it is around 90 cm from centerback. This size is perfect for me to use as street wear, for snowboarding I prefer a little longer. Size chart states that medium sleeve length is around 94-96 cm, so if will be right size.
Please helm me chose right size. I'm 5'10'', 170lbs

so i dont know what size to go with cause i dont know if xl is too big.
686 is sized generously. a large will be a good baggy fit, XL will prob be HUUUUGE.

i know sometimes with 3 in 1 they are a snug fit with liner
what size medium or large??
if you like snug go medium. if you want a little loose go large.
This is definitely one of the warmest jackets I've ever worn. The fleece liner is super soft and zips in and out very easily and there is more pockets than you know what to do with, which I think is a good thing. Definitely worth it!
Really like the jacket
I am 6'3" 230lbs with longer arms. I got the xxl and it is the fit I was looking for. A little loose with arms that are plenty long. First 686 gear, I am a fan now!
686 Smart Jacket is a great value for the money. It has a ton of features and pockets to store things while skiing or riding. The outer Shell is the best part of the jacket it has a high waterproof rating and is made of good material. My only gripe is with the inner shell part, the inner part is nothing more than light zip up, it seems more like a zip up sweater than an inner jacket lining. I was expecting something more akin to a northface/columbia fleece liner but overall I am still happy with my jacket purchase.
686 3-in-1 Jacket
Great Jacket. The zip in liner is awesome. It is really warm and the interface to the Smarty pants works great. I am 6'4" and this is one of the few jackets that comes in XXL, and it actually fits me. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I have one of the previous Smarty models (I'm not quite sure, maybe of year 2008). And it has a magnetic locks in front. I like them very much. Doest this jacket has magnetic locks?
Well worth it!
Boom! This jacket is superb and well worth the low price!

Im 5'8" and 135 pounds. i like the jacket to be a little big so I can wear some layers underneath and be able to move freely. Would a medium be the right fit?
I'm a couple inches taller and I prefer the large for some more space. It does come with the internal layer that you have an option of unzipping out of there. Overall a great jacket!

Large for sure.
Large but possibly an XL

Im 6'4" 215lbs..... would i need an XL or L??
I'm 6' 2" and usually run about 260lb. I have the Black XL in last years model and I like it a lot. I've got just enough room where it feels just right. The liner jacket is warm when put in the coat - makes it a little more snug. The liner is great when you need it - but since I carry enough heat with me - I usually leave it out 90% of the time. You could probably fit in a L but I'd go XL and see where you're at.
not L, at the very least XL
