Description

One-stop shopping for a fully-kitted shred jacket.

686 gave the Men's Smarty Complete 2.5-Ply Jacket a removable fleece jacket and burly waterproofing so you can slim your kit for bar hopping and then fully suit up and stay dry while you pillage pow stashes the next morning. Adjust the Smarty system of layers to match the temperatures. Ample pockets, weatherproofing, and slick-finish features make this jacket one to write home about... after you pack your pie-hole with plenty of white-gold.
  • InfiDry-20 fabric shrugs off wet, soggy dumps and allows undue moisture to escape from within
  • Built-in RECCO reflectors help improve your chances of rescue should you get lost or buried
  • Removable liner vest fits inside the removable liner jacket so your layers are fully integrated and attached

I ski not board and am about 5'10 155lbs. I was wondering since this is generally considered a boarding jacket if there would be any difference in the sizing. I was looking at a large but would a medium be a better fit?

I just want to confirm. Does this jacket have a hood? It looks like it does from the rear pic, but not the front pic. Thanks

I ordered this jacket a week or so ago and I just got it in the mail. After trying it on I was so happy I had to come here and let everyone know that this jacket was worth every penny and now that it is on sale makes it even better. Thanks dogfunk!!

Just wondering on size, I tried a burton revoler on Lrg & it fitted ok but was thinking should I go the xl in the 686 as the size chart gives me the impression it's slightly smaller.

I am 5'9 about 150 lbs and The Large fit me great. Don't know if this helps out any. The jacket is awesome though.

It really just depends how you want it to fit. An L wouldn't be super baggy but would have some length to it. An XL would be pretty baggy all around. I personally would go L if I were you.

My third 686 jacket. Great quality and features, easy to spot me in the trees. Only complaint is the sleeve length is shorter than other styles. I'm tall and where other Smarty's fit great, this 2.5 runs shorter. Sometimes a problem when bending over messing with bindings. Took it on a backcountry hike around Vail-Blue Sky on a warm day and was glad I had the breathability.

The fit is loose. What's the equivalent in Burton Jackets-a) signature or b)relaxed

Team relaxed fit is just Burton's way of saying Loose. Relaxed would definitely be the equivalent in bagginess of the Smarty.

I have been using 686 gear for years, I have 3 pairs of coats and pants all 2.5 Ply Complete. Though they have come out with other coats, nothing beats the 2.5.

You can wear it in cold and warm conditions. The three layers really make the difference. I have personally dragged my gear all over the world and have never had any issues, god bless 686!

How day-glo Orange is this? Is it that neon/flourescent orange that really "pops" in the low light conditions?

No, not fluorescent. But it does pop in sunlight. I've gotten lots of compliments in the lift line.

This jkt is like armor against the Elements of Winter!! @ 20K Nothing gets threw this super warm peace. That's why I wear this jkt when I'm out on the sleds or in the Backcountry. Complete w/ a vest as well as a liner for those super Burly days. In my opinion it's Completely worth the price!
