These are truly hot pants.
The 686 Women's Smarty Lowrise Pant is sweet. These hot pants take smooth jean styling and dress it up with snowboard-necessary features. 3D ventilation, boot gaiters, and loops to connect your pants to a 686 jacket, stop winter from slowing you down. Cool colors let you mix and match your 686 outfit with one of their many hot coats. Speaking of hot, on the inside of these pants, there is a velour track pant just begging to be worn by alone when not snowboarding. The body-friendly low rise fit is shaped to move as you move, and has a boot cut hem for a smooth look that doesn't leave your pants dragging on the ground. For those of you who have gotten on the Boa boot bandwagon, you'll be stoked that you can dial your boots without undoing the gaiters. All of this makes the Lowrise than attractive, it makes them awesome.

Agree about strange fit...
SUPER cute pants and comfy fabric- so I was disappointed that the small didn't really fit like a good "low rise" and the medium waste was HUGE...I'm 5'4'' and 115...a very typical size 3/4 or 5/7 in juniors...the diff. between the sm and med is huge. Didn't buy them for this reason.
686 Lowrise Shorty
Not especially low rise, at least not on me. I had to get a large 'cause M was too tight in the legs with coordinating pant/base layer. As a result, the waist is way too big for me, even cinched all the way up. I always wonder whether it's me that's oddly sized, or the guys who design this stuff!? Bellows/cargo type pockets would allow stuff to be distributed more easily. Overall nice design; rose tweed's a sweet color and largely why I picked this pair.
