686’s most established shred pant, the Men’s Smarty Original Cargo gives you the protection, comfort, and style you need for your next snorkel sesh or park throw-down. The removable fleece liner dials in the warmth on those ball-shrinking days on the mountain, and the fully-taped seams combined with a 15K waterproof shell ensures the only way you wet your pants is with powder-sniffing excitement.
Removable fleece liner offers extra warmth for cold days and comfort at the lodge

its more of a mustard. the new smarty's for this year are a bright yellow color. but last year model (the pant your asking the question on) are more of a mustard or darker yellow color
these are sweet pants , they feel nice and sturdy without being too heavy and the material has a nice feel, super comfy and warm even without the liner. im 5'8 165lbs and i got the large for a good "skater" sort of baggyness without being too big and clown like , and just draw them in with a belt a little bit , they have a sort of articulated knee which keeps them from puffing out too much . they look and feel sick ,id recomend them for sure .

these pants will blow your mind. drop 200 fast and pick up yourself some of the steeziest warmest, driest, most durable riding pants ever. Im getting my 2nd pair this season n they are so sick. they will blow your mind.
im 6 feet tall about 170 my waist is about a 32 or 33 and my inseam is about 32 should i get a med or large????? i have both size pants and it just depends on the style? what do you think? thanks kevin
Ya I'm shorter about 5' 8" 160lbs and about the same waist and a M is a long in the leg if I'm wearing shoes. But i think with boots they would fit perfect. I think M should fit you fine. As the waist has lots of room to expand.
These cargo's are sick! I have never found a pair of better pants. They are fully adjustable with secondary straps around your waistline so that you don't need a belt but you can still dial in a perfect fit. My ass has NEVER been wet and the gaiters on these ankles keep the pant legs down. The fit isn't to baggy at all. I don't even use the liner anymore because I stay warm even in sub 20 temps. Outstanding job 686!!
best pants i have ever owned...The liner that comes with them keep you so warm that you don't really even need base layers unless its really cold out. They are pretty durable in the park as well...plus the zip out liners are really nice to chill in after you ride!
These pants are good because they're comfortable as hell, baggy but not parachute pants. They look good too. But I got the 08 woodland print white ones and they get dirty quick. Also they're not great because I already ripped them on my third day of boarding, given it was icy that day but come on my first pair of pants (50 dollar pants from Big 5) lasted me 2 1/2 years.
Pants are super dope. I'm 5' 8" and 165lbs and medium fits me perfect. Although with shoes on they do drag a bit. The only thing I noticed is that they got rid of the magnetic poket covers, which were available previously on the smarty. I loved the magnets. Now they have snaps so be aware!
I have two pairs. A 2007 and last years. My 2007 ones got a puncture but it must have been something sharp because it punctured the pants, the fleece, my under armour, and my skin. These pants probably protected me from getting cut up even worse. I have a 2008/2009 in gunmetal and they are bulletproof. They have survived tree runs, ice fall on the knees and behind, im talking full charge sliding out for miles type of crashes. Good stuff!
Absolutely not! I've only rode 686 for years be it west coast and east coast and have had no troubles with these pants. I've got a pair that are 4 years old with out a tear and that even goes for the cuffs. You won't be sorry with these but almost any snowboard pants or jackets will rip or tear crashing into the trees.
