Ditch the magic 8-ball and get the ready-for-anything, 3-in-1 pants.
You can't predict the future, and with 686 Women's Smarty Original Cargo Pant you don't need to. The Smarty line has been the go-to 3-in-1 outerwear for riders who want to be ready for whatever the mountain has in store.
Start your day right with an early morning yoga session in the included micro-fleece liner. Put the 15k waterproof, 10k breathable shell on and race some sun rays down an untouched face. Worry about linking turns, not snow or cold getting in thanks to the fully taped seams, PJ-Connect pant-to-jacket connection system, and Boa-compatible leg gaiters with book hooks. Lose the liner and open the Air-Flo thigh vents for some afternoon runs through aggressive tree lines. Stash your gloves under the Glove Hugger tab while your point out your next line from the chair. When a storm rolls in and visibility gets low, the Horseshoe Hem and Ghetto Slits side cuts keep your hem on top of your boots and not under them while you walk into town for sushi and fries. Layer-up again and hit the mountain for night laps through the park. Finish up by lounging in the Smarty liner while you watch the latest snowboarding edit.

The concept of a thick, removable liner sounds great, but in reality, this liner from top to bottom is thicker and warmer than the thickest sweat pants I own. That's great if you are in very cold weather and cold hard chairlifts, but anything else, they are too warm and I felt constricted. I finally just removed the liner and used the pants as a shell. That was only good for the warmest of conditions because the shell is rather thin. I give them 3 stars for the nice cargo look, great length and for a great liner/warmup pant to ad to my lounge collection.
