My word of advice, get a closer to skin base layer that's either synthetic or a good merino wool. The purpose is to wick moisture away and not restrict movement the way sweatpants would. Trust me, it's one of the 'where have you been my whole life' moments once proper layering is achieved.

I wore these on the hill today and they are totally AWESOME! Extremely flattering fit but completely uninsulated- so if its a cold one definitely layer under to prevent thigh-cicles. I ran into an instructor I know but haven't seen since last season and she asked me if I'd lost weight (which I totally haven't, actually I know I've gained 5lbs over the summer), to which I replied: "PSSH! I ALWAYS LOOK THIS GOOD!"
I think it was the pants though.
