Description

The future is now, and it can be quite accommodating.

Like the comfortable yet high-tech one-piece an astronaut wears as he hovers above the earth, the Airblaster Freedom Suit will take you to places beyond your wildest dreams, but it will keep you as comfy as if you were reading a mystery novel and lazily sipping Chamomile on your bear-skin rug. And, while you don't have to be overly concerned about aliens and scorching-hot space rocks slipping into your trousers, you do ride with the constant threat of snowballs if you're still wearing the antiquated jacket-and-pant setup. Step into the future where we all wear jump-suits. Proof? Check out ANY sci-fi TV show set in the future.

The Freedom Suit is made with tough nylon. Not only will you enjoy the admiring glances of hundreds of potential mates, you'll also enjoy the shell's waterproofing and breathability that protect you from snow and clamminess. Fully taped seams eliminate typical weak spots, and internal boot gaiters with lace hooks keep snow from finding its way into your pant legs. The Freedom Suit is also equipped with zippered underarm vents and zippered, mesh-lined leg vents that allow you to dump heat in a hurry if you need to. At this point, you're probably thinking, "This suit is astonishing, but what if I have to poop?" The folks at Airblaster also poop, so they included a 350-degree waist zipper that makes potty-time a good time, every time. There's also a zippered fly so you can write your name in the snow in a hurry and get the hell out of there. Welcome to the future.

  • Tough nylon construction (10K/10K), fully taped seams
  • Classic fit top, boot-cut bottom
  • Zippered underarm vents
  • Zippered, mesh-lined leg vents
  • Fixed, adjustable hood
  • Boot gaiters with lace hooks

Hi,
I habe a Problem.
I'm a Male and I'm 180cm but only 60kg and relativly narrow.
What size will be the best for me?

And: Is it possible to ship the suit to Germany?

It will be great to become an answer.

Responded on

Hey Marcel,

Since this is a one piece suit your weight isn't going to effect the sizing at all and should focus only on your height. at 180 cm you are going to want a size Large. However, the bad news is we are not allowed to ship this brand across the United States boarders. So unless you have a distant cousin living in Jersey that wants to snag this for you as a late Memorial Day present then I'm not sure how we are going to get this to you.

Bogdan,

You are definitely on the border for sizing in the Airblaster Freedom Suit. But knowing how this suit fits I would recommend going with a L so you have some room to layer underneath.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

At first I was bummed that the green one was unavailable in my size so I went with the hot coral. Wow! so glad I did! I love the bright orange/pink with the blue! Bought this for snowkiting but it is a blast to wear for any winter activity! Everyone loved and was asking about who made it/where I got it when I climbed Mt Washington in it. Durable, warm, room for layers if needed, love the inner-thumb hole layer to keep the powder out! Can't wait for next winter!

Anton,

I would actually recommend the L for you in the Airblaster Freedom Suit based on your height/weight. And we do have this size in stock in the Hot Coral.

Hi I'm a 5'3 140 pound female. I wear a M in all my snowboard pants. Do u think I should get a small or M? Please help me out! Thank you

Responded on

Hey,

According to the sizing chart, the Male Small should be an okay fit for you. Medium would probably be too big. Take note that this is cut for men, and if you have a particularly feminine build (i.e. hips) this may fit uncomfortably on you.

Hope this helps

Hi I'm 5,9 and 170 lbs, i ordered a M... Is right size for me?

Best Answer Responded on

According to Airblaster's sizing chart, you will be able to squeeze in this suit with naught but a little room to spare, provided your waist measurement isn't grossly past the maximum measurement Airblaster states is reasonable for a size Medium. Just make sure you don't rip the tags off when you get it, but try it on; if you feel as though it is a bit snug, just return it and order a Large, though I think you will be fine.

Hello, I am 6'3" with broad shoulders and a waist size of 31". Will the XL fit me appropriately if at all? Is there an elastic string around the waist? My body proves perfect to military standards, yet its nearly impossible to get anything that fits!

Responded on

Hey Dave, I hope you didn't order your XL suit yet. I am the same height, with a 34" waist but I'm pretty skinny in the shoulders. I got the XXL and theres room for my shoulders to grow and the sleeves are still pretty long on me so I'm pretty sure you should go with the XXL (2XL) and you'll be in good shape.

I am a girl 178 cm. and 68 kg. would i fit into a M, in the male model?
I am going skiing in Norway, and on a 2 day snow cave trip, would it work fore that? :)

This suit will work really well for any and every situation where you need to stay warm and dry. Go with the M and it won't be too snug.

Great Powder One Piece

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Great one piece, however it is only a shell and should be worn with a ninja suit or enough layers to keep you warm. Sizing seems to run large for me (but I'm also an XS). There are plenty of pockets for gear, and works great with the Ruroc helmet pictured (the hood fits over most helmets).

Awesome functionality, poorly made

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love this suit. I just ordered my 4th one - but there's the problem. The thing is built like crap. The seams fall apart, it rips very easily, the Velcro comes off. The only reason I buy these is because Backcountry stands behind them (Airblaster won't - they know it's cheap). But enough ranting, here's what I love:

Very waterproof / windproof
Boot gaiters and wrist gaiters
Mesh vents
Zippers don't leak
Hood fits over helmet
Non-insulated (easy to layer beneath)
Tons of pockets
Middle zipper rarely breaks and allows easy access (bathroom)
Convenient front pass pocket (window sort of sucks though)
BTW: I'm 6'3" 175 lbs and I like the XL. Large works but it gets tight on the shoulders when sitting down sometimes (it's a 1 piece problem)

From what I can tell Airblaster has not made any noticeable changes on this suit from last years model, except some rad new styles and colors. But of course, what could you improve on something so perfect?

Can the suit be used for skiing too?

Best Answer Responded on

Buddy, it's not that this suit CAN be used for skiing--this suit eats, sleeps, and breaths deep powder skiing. This suit is the master of all ski suits, the last line of defense against the biggest of powder days, the perfect weapon to have in the arsenal of any committed skier--but especially one with a flair for onsie outfits.
