The future is now, and it can be quite accommodating.
Like the comfortable yet high-tech one-piece an astronaut wears as he hovers above the earth, the Airblaster Freedom Suit will take you to places beyond your wildest dreams, but it will keep you as comfy as if you were reading a mystery novel and lazily sipping Chamomile on your bear-skin rug. And, while you don't have to be overly concerned about aliens and scorching-hot space rocks slipping into your trousers, you do ride with the constant threat of snowballs if you're still wearing the antiquated jacket-and-pant setup. Step into the future where we all wear jump-suits. Proof? Check out ANY sci-fi TV show set in the future.
The Freedom Suit is made with tough nylon. Not only will you enjoy the admiring glances of hundreds of potential mates, you'll also enjoy the shell's waterproofing and breathability that protect you from snow and clamminess. Fully taped seams eliminate typical weak spots, and internal boot gaiters with lace hooks keep snow from finding its way into your pant legs. The Freedom Suit is also equipped with zippered underarm vents and zippered, mesh-lined leg vents that allow you to dump heat in a hurry if you need to. At this point, you're probably thinking, "This suit is astonishing, but what if I have to poop?" The folks at Airblaster also poop, so they included a 350-degree waist zipper that makes potty-time a good time, every time. There's also a zippered fly so you can write your name in the snow in a hurry and get the hell out of there. Welcome to the future.

Hello, I am 6'3" with broad shoulders and a waist size of 31". Will the XL fit me appropriately if at all? Is there an elastic string around the waist? My body proves perfect to military standards, yet its nearly impossible to get anything that fits!

Great Powder One Piece
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Great one piece, however it is only a shell and should be worn with a ninja suit or enough layers to keep you warm. Sizing seems to run large for me (but I'm also an XS). There are plenty of pockets for gear, and works great with the Ruroc helmet pictured (the hood fits over most helmets).
Awesome functionality, poorly made
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I love this suit. I just ordered my 4th one - but there's the problem. The thing is built like crap. The seams fall apart, it rips very easily, the Velcro comes off. The only reason I buy these is because Backcountry stands behind them (Airblaster won't - they know it's cheap). But enough ranting, here's what I love:
Very waterproof / windproof
Boot gaiters and wrist gaiters
Zippers don't leak
Hood fits over helmet
Non-insulated (easy to layer beneath)
Tons of pockets
Middle zipper rarely breaks and allows easy access (bathroom)
Convenient front pass pocket (window sort of sucks though)
BTW: I'm 6'3" 175 lbs and I like the XL. Large works but it gets tight on the shoulders when sitting down sometimes (it's a 1 piece problem)

I am 5-11, 215lbs, do these run big, ie the large will work or should I go with the XL?
Hey thanks for the question,
The Large will be a great fit for you in this suit!

Whats the difference between the 2013 and 2014 editions?
From what I can tell Airblaster has not made any noticeable changes on this suit from last years model, except some rad new styles and colors. But of course, what could you improve on something so perfect?
Can the suit be used for skiing too?
Can the suit be used for skiing too?
Buddy, it's not that this suit CAN be used for skiing--this suit eats, sleeps, and breaths deep powder skiing. This suit is the master of all ski suits, the last line of defense against the biggest of powder days, the perfect weapon to have in the arsenal of any committed skier--but especially one with a flair for onsie outfits.

I'm wanting to buy this suit as a girl. I'm 5'9 and wear a size 6/8? which size would be appropriate?
Based on airblaster's size chart Id say the medium would be your best bet. It might be a little baggy and loose fitting since its cut for men. But in order for the length to fit you properly you'd need the medium.

Just picked up this jacket in a size small in black. I'm a 5'1, 125lb girl and I've heard that the women's freedom suit fits a little strange and that I should just size down in a mens, thats exactly what I did and I'm so glad.
I like my stuff a little baggy, so this fit is perfect for me. For anyone else that likes normal sizing and they are small like me, xs is your best bet. The quality is amazing, the fabric is not stiff at all, very soft and comfortable. I haven't been able to take it out yet but it seems like it's a little more burly than just a shell, I think just a good first layer and I'd be warm on the coldest days.

I'm 79kgs and 176cm. What size is best for me?
Definitely go with Medium. I'm 180/82 and Large is way too long/uncomfortable for me.
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share
I ordered this suit for my husband. He loves it. He can't wait for snow to start falling so he can wear it on the mountain. He fully expects everyone to be jealous of his hip, new snow gear. Why aren't we all wearing one-piece suits? I'm thinking about buying one for myself now if they make them in women's.
do I have to wear padding under this suit?...
do I have to wear padding under this suit? What cold rating does it have? Is it padded?
This suit is not padded, so if you want to wear padding underneath, go for it! It isn't insulated either so be sure to layer up for the cold!
It does have waterproofing and is breathable, including vents under the arms and on the legs though, and it looks pretty rad!
Hi, i'm 5'9 and 170 lbs,
what's the right size for me?
