The sensei of staying warm.

Less is more with the Airblaster Men's Hoodless Ninja Suit. It still features the cozy Air Tech fabric and easy-access waist zipper that you love about the original Ninja Suit, but with shorter legs that won't overlap with your socks in your boots and a hoodless design for those who prefer to let their beanies do the work.

Airblaster's Air Tech fabric is made with brushed polyester and Lycra for a cozy feel and unrestricted mobility. The fit is next-to-skin to help it wick moisture and insulate more effectively, and thumb holes in the cuffs prevent snow from getting in your sleeves. There's no need to worry about what happens if the need to go #2 overwhelms you when you're at the mountain—a 350-degree waist zipper makes it easy to take care of business without having to completely undress.

  • Air Tech 4-way stretch brushed fabric
  • Next-to-skin fit
  • Full-length front chest zip
  • Thumb hole cuffs
  • 350-degree waist zip for easy bathroom access
  • Front fly

Pretty Cool

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got it for looks, but it works too. I'm 6'-1" 190-lbs and the XL fits me great. The waist zipper feature is alright, but unless you're shitting in the woods, you will probably sling it off your shoulders. The interior is white so I usually wear boxer briefs underneath (to keep the skid marks out, ha). I wish the front zipper came down further, you have to use the brief hole in the suit, so you gotta reach in and go over the fence on the boxers and through the gate on the suit, if the zipper went down further you could just go over the fence. You could eliminate the brief fly on the suit too, and it would be a little more comfortable to where around the condo. But it is a pretty fun suit and does keep me very warm and comfortable. I love the hoodless and the boot cut.

What size would I order for a male about 170 lbs, 5'10" wide shoulders?

I would say a medium should be right up your alley!

A must have for any skier

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have this year's model and its fantastic. When wearing the ninja suit, you don't even notice you are indeed wearing it. The only place I feel the ninja suit is on my calf when the suit tightens up a little bit. Besides that, I forget I'm even wearing it. So anyone who is worried about this being uncomfortable, or too bulky, won't have to worry at all. The merino wool is very warm, and very comfy. Not itchy at all. Easy access for all bathroom needs.

I'm 5'10" and I got a medium, and it fits a little loose but works great for me. The ninja suit comes in great packaging, and will keep you very warm. It's a must have for anyone who rides on the mountain, but its also very handy for casual wear throughout the winter.

I want to buy this to use as a base layer but I keep reading that it gets very itchy against bare skin? Are you supposed to wear this and nothing under it? Sorry if this is a bad question.

Hey Mike, no question is a bad question! Undies are not needed for this article of clothing, but if ya wore a pair, you won't be breaking any secret ninja suit guidelines, just go with whatever makes you most comfortable.

Well worth the hype

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Just picked up the Ninja Suit for the 2013-14 season and after a few days on the mountain, temps ranging from 5 degrees to 45 degrees, I can tell that it is going to treat me very well for the rest of the season. It breathes really well and keeps the sweat out on the warmer days, but traps the heat when I'm bundled up on those chilly days. AKA the perfect baselayer. The one piece design also keeps me dryer and my butt crack out of sight after a yard sale :) I'd recommend this piece to anyone on the mountain.

Sizing is off on height, fav baselayer

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought last years model on sale this year, was told they are the same. First bought the small and while waiting the quantity of medium was only a couple. So I ordered also a med because I was worried about height on sizing. The small said up to 5'6" and I am 5'9" plus and 140#. I wanted to try one of these but didn't want them riding up my crotch. Once the small arrived and tried it on I new it was a fit. It even some room to spare at my jewels but also all around (not too much). I would think the small would fit up to 5'10"+ if you are skinny. Never even put on the medium.

Comparing to my capilene 4 one piece, rab ps farmer john, and all my other baselayers are smartwool. It is not the warmest but still warm. Some cons are that it stinks easy (maybe that is just me since I always stink). Some pros are the #2 and #1 are user friendly (helpful when you work on mountain all day), no hood (even tho I love my capilene hood on cold windy days), 3/4 pant is way to go with ski boots. Not the easiest to get in and out of but who cares if you don't need to until you are done.

Airblaster please make wool ones with different thickness, w/o hood and 3/4 legs. Overall great work, my favorite baselayer.

This is a must have!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love the Ninja Suit but there are times when you don't need the hood and it only gets in the way. To me, the best feature of the Hoodless Ninja may be the calf-length shant. Say goodbye to either tucking your baselayer bottoms in to your boots or bunching them up around your knees. These bottoms stop where your snowboard socks start. My other favorite part is never having to deal with the uncomfortable feeling of getting snow down your back. I would highly recommend this to friends!
