Description

You asked for it, and the pterodactyl delivered. The Airblaster Women's Hoodless Ninja Suit features the same supreme layering capabilities as its hooded friend, but just with a mock turtle neck to make it easier to layer with when you don't need to have your head covered.

  • Fabricated from Air Tech material to wick moisture and dry quickly in addition to increasing warmth
  • Lycra gives the suit four-way stretch, increasing mobility for high-kicking and boning out Euro grabs
  • 350-degree waist zipper wraps around your natural waist (doesn't interfere with your outerwear's waist) to make it easier to take care of business
  • Integrated waist tie helps to secure a customized fit
  • Long front zip makes entry and exit a breeze
  • Thumb-holes not only keep the sleeves from riding up, they also increase the ferocity of your tiger-stance
  • Women-specific fit was designed from the ground up for a proper fit

Great for cold weather

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Awesome suit but if you think you're going to easily shed layers throughout the day don't wear it! It is super warm for cold weather but a pain to get out of if you realize it's too warm for it and you're crammed in a locker room. Other than that, complete love it. 80% unzips at the waist and that's really handy. I did however order a size up because I was afraid the arms would be too short and the thumb holes would pull. Med at 5'8" is great!

Now I'm a ninja.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this product to be my baselayer for the winter outdoors season. I hunt deer and ducks, and will also be ice fishing when the time comes. So far, in the mild early season (ranging from 60F-39F), it's been great. It wicks the sweat from hiking in, so I don't get that terrible chill from sweat drying once I stop moving. I've worn it a few times between each wash, and it hasn't smelled at all. Doing my business in the woods hasn't been an issue either, with the handy waist zipper. The fabric is smooth, and feels fine against my skin. I'm 5'2, about 120 lbs, in about size 4 jeans and the small fits great. My only concern so far is that it may not be thick enough for the late season. It seems to be a baselayer for activities that require more movement than sitting absolutely still in a tree or blind. I'll have to see when the time comes, and I may pick up the expedition weight ninja suit. Otherwise, it's a great product and a great price on sale.

How warm is it ? I plan to get one to put under my diving drysuit, to go in water around 0 C, and I'm looking for something thin and very warm... Could that do the job ?

Hello Annelarousse,

This probably isn't going to be as warm as you require. While this is a thinner piece, there are certainly warmer options out there. You may consider something made of Merino wool, which has a significantly higher warmth to weight ratio than the material on this suit. Patagonia Capiline 3 or 4 might also be a better bet.

Do the legs scrunch up a little if I were to want ski boots on without the extra fabric underneath the boot?

Hey Marp, thanks for the question.
These do have 6% Lycra, so they will have a little stretch to them!

Excellent, kept me warm

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I really like the fabric, it is soft but not too clingy. The only issue I had with the suit is that it is not as easy as I had anticipated to go to the bathroom while using the 350 zipper. Note: With the 350 zipper there is about 10 inches of fabric in the front that does not unzip. However, going to the bathroom was still manageable without having to take off all of my layers of clothing.

Perfect Layer

Purchased for cold weather skiing. Toasty warm in single digits. Access easier than I thought. I'm 5'9", long waisted, medium fit perfectly. Wish I'd had it years ago.

Great, from what I hear

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share

Bought this for a friend of mine and she has nothing but good things to say about it.

Perfection!!

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have nothing but GREAT things to say about this. It is super comfortable and feels great to wear under all of my layers. It stretches and moves with me, there is nothing about this that feels constricting! I wear it all day at work and all night when I get home!
