Does this jacket really only have 2 front pockets? No interior pockets?

Responded on

Darcy,

There are two external pockets and one internal "pocket". The internal "pocket" is less of a pocket and better described as a port for a media cord. I'd only expect to be able to your hands into the two front pockets.

Cheers.

what year is this Jacket?

Responded on

Based on the fact that it's in the outlet, and that the colors and designs are different then the javier's offered by air blaster this year I'm going to say this is the 2013 version of the jacket.

Responded on

It is from the Fall/Winter 2012 collection. So that would have spanned the 12/13 ski season (last season).

i'm 5'5 and 167lbs I was wondering whether the small would fit me or go for a medium.

Responded on

Probably a medium based on your weight, though the arms may be long.

Your best bet for a good fit will be to get your chest, waist and arm measurements and compare them to the sizing chart. People have different body types and shapes so height and weight tend to be a less effective measure. Best of luck!

I have a few base and midlayer options for hiking, but I'm looking for something to throw on over top my midlayer in case the weather gets rough like rain or snow. I hike a lot above 12k year round which can be unpredictable. Would this be sufficient and durable for hiking trips to pack along and throw on top a good midlayer if it started to rain or snow pretty heavy?

Responded on

It has a good enough waterproof rating that it should keep you dry, but it will be heavier and bulkier than other lightweight jackets that are designed specifically for hiking. As long as that's not as issue for you, it looks like a pretty good deal on this jacket.

Medium sounds like the right size for you. Small would probably be a little too tight.

Im just wondering if the Burgundy is true to color? Cause it doesn't really look burgundy to me... and that's what I'm looking for.

Responded on

Amanda,

The Burgandy color-way for this item has more of a red hue to it than a brown hue. The other thing to consider is calibrating your monitor to ensure that the colors are true.

Cheers.

i'm 6'2" and 186lbs, what size i should get if i like longer jacket?

Responded on

I think a large should be a good size for you. I wear a medium in most jackets and I'm 6'1" and 175, so just a tad smaller then you, but I like my gear fitted. This jacket is cut to have the longer cut already, so you shouldn't need to worry about that too much.

Love this jacket

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Lots of cool features like the wrist gaiter and the pass pocket on the powder skirt. Love the color too (bought the turquoise)
