Description

Back to the basics.

Airblaster wanted to make a basic pant for us simple folk, a pant that would answer all the demands of the mountain without breaking the bank or throwing useless features around like free T-shirts at a basketball game. Thus, the Airblaster Men's Pant was born wet and naked into the world; it's been a classic ever since. A simplified version of the Sissy pant, this slim-cut pant was built to provide durable protection against the pains of winter. A waterproof breathable, stretch twill fabric allows graceful movement without hindrance or discomfort. Taped critical seams and leg gaiters provide addition protection against curious snow.

  • Stretch twill
  • Waterproof and breathable
  • Critical seams taped
  • Slim cut
  • Inner leg vents
  • Leg gaiters

The good and the bad

I bought these pants for my boyfriend this last Christmas! He got the matching jacket and loved it, but the pants not as much. They are really lightweight so that can either be good or bad depending on what weather you are dealing with. Going along with the other reviews, the pants weren't very stretchy, and the seam ripped on the side. I think I can patch it up, but I don't feel like the quality of the fabric is very good.

Sissy pants single stitch on seams split

pants look great , but not very flexible ,I ended up hitting a small horizontal twig , and they split from boot to hip the seams it seemed were only single stitched, not impressed the fabric seems tough though there was no damage done on it !

A good pant for the hill

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I got these last year and enjoyed them, but they let me down in a few scenerios. The material on these pants however doesn't provide a lot of stretch and fits a little slimmer than most pants. If your a skinny guy and your day consists of chair lift and casual riding these are great pants. If you are heavy in the leg muscle or spend your days hiking these pants will restrict you. They are not insulated also so put some quality johns on underneath on the cold days. I would say they are relatively water proof but certainly no where near gor-tex . The seams are regular double stitches but nothing special, I ripped the crotch twice last year. Don't buy the hype on their "Critical Seams". I do however have pretty big legs so I didn't have a lot of room to spare.

reviewing a product that clearly isn't made for you is not appropriate. the airblaster jed is marketed as a slim fit, and someone who has big physique will not properly fit in these. and gore-tex is an obvious expensive feature, which would make these more expensive
