Go ninja go ninja go!

Airblaster claims their Ninja Suit is the best long underwear on the planet—and darn it, they may be right. The one-piece design completely seals out snow to keep you warm, dry, and stoked from first chair to passing out on your couch with sore legs.

Airblaster's Air Tech fabric is made with brushed polyester and Lycra for a cozy feel and unrestricted mobility. The fit is next-to-skin to help it wick moisture and insulate more effectively. A seven panel form-fitting hood covers up your dome on extra cold days and thumb holes in the cuffs prevent snow from getting in your sleeves. There's no need to worry about what happens if the need to go #2 overwhelms you when you're at the mountain—a 350-degree waist zipper makes it easy to take care of business without having to completely undress.
  • Air Tech 4-way stretch brushed fabric
  • Next-to-skin fit
  • 7-panel form-fitting hood
  • Full-length front chest zip
  • Thumb hole cuffs
  • 350-degree waist zip for easy bathroom access
  • Front fly

5'2" and 150 guessing the small is the way to go. Any thoughts on the xs or s? Pretty well built and in shape. Mostly worries about the chest/back in these things. Is it a 4 way stretch material?

Responded on

Hey Killian,
If you are well built then the small should fit you better than the extra small. The suit is made with a 4 way stretch material. Though I would not say it is the stretchiest material on the market, it will give some in the direction it needs to.

Brilliant!

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Powder weekend at Durango (Purgatory) mountain. Kept the snow out from where it shouldn't be.
Finally used the hood feature with the heavy snow (>10" during the day) and it's low profile works like a champ under a helmet even w neck gaiter. This is my go to base layer till The real warm spring boarding in NM.
Couple notes for air blaster: too much room in the gut for an active product (good sides and back though), full zip around the midsection preferred (one vote from myself and the girlfriend).
Oh yeah and no signs of early wear after 8-10 days boarding.

I am 5'8" and 180 pounds. What size Airblaster Ninja suit should I order?

Responded on

The large should fit you best. The medium might just be slightly too tight while the large will offer the room needed to fit comfortably.

+3 to sneaking and shredding skills

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I obtained several ninja suits for myself and a few riding comrades, and they have been deemed an excellent acquisition by all recipients:
-- Sleeping, check
-- Sneaking, check
-- Warm temp riding base-layer, check
-- Cold temp riding base-base-layer, check
-- Lounging around, check
-- #1 and #2, check check
-- Apres-ride bar conversation piece, check

Comfy, functional, and stylish in pizza print (an incredible bonus for fans of cult ski videos from back in the day!).

Comfy

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Got these a few weeks ago, really comfortable and warm. I even slept with them for several nights. Only complaint is the zipper near the waist. Popped off during washroom break, had to rely on my gf's sewing work to fix it. At the end I bought another ninja suit with merino wool in case when it gets too cold up the mountain.

Pretty Awesome

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I havent ridden with this thing yet, but i've worn it around a bit and it's super comfy. I even slept in it a few nights ago. One complaint is that if you dont have a shirt on under it it gets kinda itchy. but over all super sweet.

These suits last forever!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I still have my first ninja suit from 2005. Although the material isnt as soft as the current ones, its lasted me many seasons and i've easily gotten my moneys worth out of it. If you have extra cash or if you easily get cold, i highly recommend dropping in on the merino wool ninja suit. You can tell a lot of thought went into making these suits extremely functional and comfortable. I really love the 7 panel form fitted head, and the thumb hole cuffs so that you dont get snow up your arm when you fall. Speaking of which, probably the best funcion of this suit besides staying super warm is keeping all that snow and wind off your back on pow days when you crash. I think once you put this thing on you'll have a hard time taking it off. Definately a must have

Truly the Best Long Underwear ever!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Man this performed so much better than I anticipated. Originally i got this for snowboarding, and it was awesome. It's so warm i could get by comfortably with just my jacket and pants over it in a northwest storm day plus you never have to experience getting snow down your back when you fall! It also breathes very well. I have started wearing it almost everyday during the winter under my clothes when im going to school or hanging around town. The only downside is that i dont have more than one to wear. My girlfriend is starting to complain how much i wear this thing! As for sizing, im 5'8, 150 lbs and the small fits snug, however i went with a medium because i prefer a little extra room for less restriction of movement when im doing activities. Overall great product and a must have!
