When gangbangers from south central L.A. go snowboarding, they wear the Airhole Holmesclava Mask. They love the warm, all-over head insulation and bomber protection from the elements, and the paisley bandana pattern lets them rep their colors from Squaw to Snowbird.

This mask is super thin and had a nasty smell are the first two things i noticed once i opened the package, the smell went away once I let it sit outside the packaging for a day or two. Wore it to the mountains just a few weeks ago when it was 20 degress out with a wind chill that brought the temps down to about 0 and was blown away by how well it worked even though it was really thin, not once was I cold or having to worry about it falling down like a bandana. I will be using this everytime I go out! I would highly recommend this to others!
Pretty good overall
Wore this sucker on the cold mountain in VT last weekend. It's the new model where you can pull the face part down to breathe easier and pull in up into place when you need the extra protection from the cold. It's just a light poly fabric with no liner so it doesn't have that nice comfy feeling against your face like some other facemasks, but it did the job of keeping my face from freezing, and also protected my head (I shave it)under my helmet.
Overall pretty cool. If the part that you could pull up over your face were fleece lined (or the whole thing was) it would be perfect.
As for the smell, I threw it in the wash when I got it and had no issues.
These full "ninja masks" by Airhole aren't really worth the money if you're buying it to stay warm. Airhole also makes the half-mask (it only covers you from your nose down) and those are made with a substantially thicker and warmer material. In comparison the full mask is made of a very thin nylonish material that serves nothing more than to look cool. I hope your cool-factor will keep your face warm...
Do these have a liner? On the Airhole...
Do these have a liner? On the Airhole site it looks like just the regular masks have a liner and the ninja masks don't.
these are 100% polyester .... so no liner. sorry lobster!
Did the Real Ninjas Smell this Bad???
Holy S%$%. The thing absolutely wreaked. I couldn't tell if they were stored in cat urine, or formaldehyde! Once through the wash took care of the odor. As for riding, we'll see. The thing is so thin it can't be good for much more than hidin' your ugly mug.
I have a couple of their other products, and like them allot. If I was lookin' around now, Id definitely put the cash into a something different.
great mask,u can pull the top head down to look like the regular ninja mask, you dont have to worry about it being lose or falling off like the other airholes . The smell is bad when you first take it out of the bag.Just spray it with something and leave it out, smell is gone after 2days .
Strong chemical smell! Bleach? I like it. Bummer about the smell though. Still is a real sick ninja mask.
Good as expected
I bought the black one which has the best design of all I think. Haven't ridden with it on but tested at home, it goes well under the helmet it's a stretch cloth and will definitely fit anyone, thanks to the hole it's good airflow and the hole doesn't seem goofy to me, especially on the black mask it's almost invisible. The cloth is fully synthetic so moisture should permeate and dry quickly. I guess there's no other product designed quite like this one.
The bad thing is that when new and right out of the box it smells strongly with some really sick toxic smell, I'm keeping it outside and maybe will wash and rinse it a few times before usage.
functional ninja masks
built as good as airholes face masks, works nice with helmet or just roll it solo ninja mask style.
