This six-ply compact pin is designed with a hyper-extended wheelbase and teardrop shape for longer carves and a mellower ride, and a concave profile that delivers the carve you crave and downhill you desire. six plys of sustainably sourced hardrock maple give this Arbor complete durability and a smooth ride, while a bamboo power ply adds the response for precision turns, as well as a very Zen approach to longboarding.

Looking to get into long boarding will mostly be riding flats
Looking to get into long boarding will mostly be riding flats but may throw some hills in at some point looking mostly for a good carver though would this be a good board?

If you're gonna be hitting any bigger hills on a regular basis, you might want something with a little bit longer wheelbase. But for cruising flats, carving, and the occasional mellow downhill, this thing is perfect.
