Not small but slim. The length is not shorter it is just a tailored fit. You will be happy with the fit for sure. Because it is tailored, you can get away with running a larger size.

The jacket has a drop hood that is not removable, so I guess if you want to then you can, but it won't work the best.

The B by Burton Bardot Softshell Jacket is a great jacket. It keeps you warm while looking trendy and fashionable. I bought this jacket to go snowboarding in and it was great, all I needed to wear under it was a shellpiece, or thermals. I hope you enjoy this stylish, warm, comfortable jacket as much as I did and still am!

Softshell are really warm and do a great job in protecting you from the elements. This jacket is 20K waterproofing and 15K breathability. The fleece lining will keep you really warm and if it gets too cold then put on a shell piece and you will be amazed on your warmth.
