Wide board for oversized boots (and oversized airs).
Don't let the name fool you—the Bataleon Goliath+ Wide Snowboard got its moniker from the size of the airs you can catch on it, not it's wide waist. However, that wide waist does help prevent toe drag for riders with big boots who like to take their freestyle skills across the entire mountain.
Triple Base Technology (TBT) starts with a traditional camber profile for reliable pop and edge hold, and turns the edges up towards the tip and tail to eliminate hang-ups when riding flat base, and give it the forgiving feel of rocker without sacrificing the benefits of camber. Freestyle TBT is the most versatile of Bataleon's TBTs, featuring a longer contact length to give it stability at high speeds without sacrificing playfulness.
Triax glass adds stiffness and stability for maximum precision, and carbon stringers maintain pop and response. Kevlar stringers in the nose and tail enhance pop without increasing torsional stiffness so you can still turn smoothly. Poplar wood keeps the core lightweight and snappy, and hardwood reinforcements running down the insert rows increase strength and channel energy to deliver more pop. A true twin shape allows for unrestricted switch riding, and blunt tips keep the swing weight down. It's finished off with a sintered base that's super-hard for impact resistance and holds tons of wax to keep you moving fast.
