Description

Stylish protection for every season.

The Bern Baker EPS Helmet with Knit Liner was designed to make the helmet look, well, less like a helmet. A deep fit and super-thin ABS shell keeps it super low-profile so your head doesn't look like a melon, and the subtle brim and wide range of colors gives it a unique look. The Baker also comes with a removable knit liner so when temps rise and it's time to head to the skatepark, you can keep your dome safe.

  • EPS foam is a lightweight, one-time use foam that evenly distributes force and gives its life to save yours in the event of a high-impact crash
  • Ultra-thin ABS shell is lightweight and low-profile
  • Sink Fit provides a deep fit for full coverage and a low profile
  • Goggle clip in back holds your eyewear in place
  • Knit liner is removable for washing or summer skating

Whether I'm ripping down icy eastern groomers, slaying singletrack, hitting vert ramps, or spending overnights whitewater kayaking, the Bern Baker is my go-to helmet. I've had my one helmet for 4 years. It shows moderate wear, and has taken a few hits, but it continues to save my life weekly, with no end in sight. It's safe and snazzy. I like the Baker because it doesn't have vent holes so it keeps me warm in the winter, but it's bearable in the summer. I know that when I need a new helmet, the Bern Baker is my purchase. Thanks Bern!

Comfy, solid, warm, sexy as the smell of melting wax. No complaints.

In the description I read of the hardhat versions it says that this helmet needs to be replaced after any impact hard or soft. So even after the smallest fall hitting my head this helmet is meaningless and need to purchase another one?

Hey Spencer,

Technically that is true. EPS foam is a single impact foam which means it should be replaced after any hit to your head. The foam is designed to break and disperse the energy around, thus saving your melon. Some helmets out there are considered "multiple impact" helmets and are great for park days when you might just be hitting boxes and rails at relatively low speeds. Perhaps you'll want to look into those.
