Great helmet, terrible audio
I picked up this helmet a few weeks ago to replace an old RED Hi-Fi that I've ridden for a couple years. It is probably the most comfortable helmet I've ever worn. Super snug fit, comfy knit ear liner, very low profile. Looks great too, because snowboarding is 50% style, right? The only thing I don't like compared to my old Hi-Fi is the chin strap is sorta hard to buckle while wearing gloves.
HOWEVER, the third day out the audio quit working in the right ear. The warranty manager at the shop I bought it at has said they've had tons of issues with the Bern audio this year, even replacements that have come in from the factory broken. So until Bern gets their quality control figured out, I'd pass on paying the extra for the audio.
its a bern. that should tell you everything. great fit, not a salad bowl. excellent fit against my anon and my electric gogs. 8 track works well though i can see where some complain but it would seem like it is more of a user malfunction than a product issue. i also own a wakeboard hard hat. same quality. have had a r.e.d and a giro both sucked horribly in comparison to this thing. buy it quit f$cking around.

If the helmet i order doesnt fit can i send it back and get my money back or get the same or different helmet in a different size??
I was also wondering if there was a store where i could try it on to see what size i want and then order it?
I wear a 7 5/8 hat, and the XL was too small for me. Left marks on my forehead. Ended up getting a Smith Holt with the Skullcandy kit, but I'm thinking about switching it up and getting a Bern in XXL.
If you can't find a store to try it on, try measuring your head with a measuring tape then using the sizing chart (located under the size/colour chooser).
love this helmet, looks sick, feels great and real warm, awesome sounds

If you take the liner out, can you still plug in music?
Nope. Speakers are sewn into the liner. Take the liner out and the speakers go with it.
