Billabong Burst Jacket - Men's - 2011

Your alarm probably went off thirty minutes ago, but your hungover brain must have missed it. Now, your buddies are geared up and laying on the car horn, waiting for you to get your ass out of the house. Throw on the versatile Billabong Burst Jacket when you need a go-anywhere, get-out-of-the-house jacket that will keep you dry, warm, and ready to ride.

  • Fully taped seams seal out moisture
  • Underarm zip vents let you ditch excess heat so you don't swamp out

the jackets run a bit on the large size. A small will probably work, but a sz M if you prefer more of a rider "loose" fit

Great Jacket

By:
October 3, 2011

I just got this jacket and absolutely love it. The fit is a great rider fit, slightly baggy and is super comfortable. All the colors are great but I am super stoked on this rust color. Can't wait to be rocking this on the mountain this season.

Large

By:
November 4, 2012

I just picket up the last black large Burst jacket in stock, and I'm glad I did. It hasn't snowed yet, so I haven't used it on the slopes, but I'll give my review so far. I'm 6'3" 140 lbs and I tried on the large and xl at the retail store. I felt like I was swimming in the xl, and I like my jackets pretty baggy. The powder skirt comes down below my tush and the jacket goes down about a third of my thigh. The sleeves come a few inches below my wrists, which is perfect, and the wrist gaiters are comfortable and don't feel short at all. They extend a few inches past the edge of the sleeves. It has a little bit of insulation, and the liner is soft, so it won't feel like a cold mummy bag when you first put it on. I have plenty of room with the hood for my helmet to go underneath. The blue accents on the black jacket are baby blue, not cyan, which I was hoping for.
So far, my only complaint is that the it only has outer cargo pockets, meaning you don't have a natural pocket to put your hands in if you're wearing the jacket around town. Definitely wasn't a deal breaker, though, cause this is a sweet jacket.

Decent

I usually ride a M Jacket, but the large is still a good fit. Run a bit smaller than other jackets of the same size. I got the green and blue, and it is okay. Its longer but not super wide, which is good for slimmer guys. Dont get the green and blue, it gets VERY dirty and its too bright for my liking. very warm but also heavy. dont love the style myself, but still nice quality, no rips or fraying.

I agree with "illa j."

I tried this jacket on at my work. I usually wear a large, but the medium was a better fit. I love everything about this jacket except there are no 'hand' pockets. That is the only thing keeping me from purchasing it. I love the look so much and the fit that I probably will buy it anyway, also love the season pass slot.

for what it's worth, I am 6'1" ~160lbs

We appreciate the positive review, however for a person looking for accurate fit comments, this jackets runs true to size if not a little big. I am 5'9" 160lbs and wear a size large which is a nice baggy fitting jacket on me.
