It is a shell, does not provide much insulation. Wear an extra layer when wearing it on the hill. Provides adequate water resistance. Being light weight and easy to move in is probably its best feature. This should not be your only snow jacket, but its cool for spring days.

So that removable hood? Nope. Lycra spandex wrist gaiters? Not a chance. Oh, and that stowable facemask doesn't exist either. Was very disappointed that the product wasn't close to described and now I have to pay to return it.

Love this jacket. Really fresh plaid look to it and it is insulated. The price on this jacket is great for what you get, 8k, critically taped and fully featured making this jacket a great deal.
