Bond National Jacket - Men's - 2009

Not sure if you’ve heard, but Heikki and TJ left the megabrands for carbon-neutral Bond, and looking at the Bond Men’s National Jacket, we can see why. Somehow Bond was able to use sustainable methods to engineer a 20K waterproof jacket that’ll never get confused with something your grandma got at a big box store.

  • Collar snow dam and Lycra thumbderwear keep out powder
  • Under pocket holder for your gloves
  • Damp ass eliminator keeps your crack dry
  • Water-resistant Waste Management pocket for tissues or regular stuff

Bottom Line: Kill the megabrands.

Love it!

Got the Higlander style. Great look, great fit and great features (fully taped seams, thumbderwear, chin lining, pit zips, heaps of pockets, hood drawstring). Haven't ridden in it yet but if it lives up to its 20k/15k ratings then for this price it can't be beaten. I'm 6 foot 170 pounds medium build and the medium fits perfect with room underneath for a base layer and second bulkier layer (if weather requires it). I'll update review after I give it a try.

This is an XL in Bond Civil jacket, I'm 6'1 180 lbs. The fit between the National and Civil jackets are similar. I Get On Extra Grind.

Amazing

This jacket is amazing. It's only lightly insulated so you have to wear a layer or 2 under it but the 20,000 mm waterproofing is some of the best I've ever used. I rode a sample version from a shop all year last year and it was durable and the waterproofing lasted all year. I'm confident this jacket will keep me dry for 2 to 3 seasons. This is hands down one of the best jackets i've ever had.

15K breathability. I have this jacket and love it. I've never had a 20k jacket before, and it is very light and dry.
