Prepare to layer.
This jacket is great. The styling is awesome, so is the color selection. It is completely waterproof and it works. Good as a windbreaker too - however this is not a warm jacket. You will want to order a hoodie or fleece or some other form of layering (maybe two) to get any warmth out of it. Still, the AK 2L Cyclic is a jacket I come back to year after year. It can't be beat!
I used this jacket last year for half a season. It is quite lightweight and does a good job of keeping moisture out, but it has a couple problems that made me stop wearing it. The zippers are the biggest problem. The main zipper gets caught all the time and the hand pocket zippers snag pretty easliy. On a previous jacket, they caught so bad I had to cut open the pocket with scissors to get my phone out. The other issue with the main zipper is that the teeth are too big. If you listen to a music player in either of the chest pockets, the cord snags when you turn your head and pulls the earbuds out of your ears.

The concept for all AK product is designed and tested in British Columbia at the FYI lab. The productions models are made in China.

I have a medium ak 09/10 pant, will the zip-in system fit with a large jacket?
Yes it will, it is the exact same system.
AK worth the extra money.
I bought my jacket right before a big snowboard trip to Crested Butte. It worked out perfectly! I stayed completely dry the entire trip and the got a bunch of compliments on the design (went with the Akookoo Sorcerer). I strongly reccomend spending the extra money to get the GORE-TEX that comes on the AK gear. The only complaint I have is the zipper sometimes gets stuck for no reason.
Waterproof, Windproof, Foolproof
This jacket is the highest quality performance outerwear on the market. Yes, it's thin but that is how it's designed. It's meant to breathe amazingly well while remaining totally waterproof AND windproof, which is exactly what it accomplishes. And it looks doooooope. All you need is a layer or two and this jacket will keep you toasty-toasty.
Piece of junk
Maybe you have a nice style with it but, if you live somewhere is cold... dont buy it
Ok jacket but really not worth the price IMO. Waterproofing is adequate, very light jacket that is warm with the right layers. Burton AK clothing seems to be going downhill as of late, with the price doing the opposite. Had an AK jacket just about every year for the past 5-6 seasons, 2 of them had stitching problems(including last years cyclic), and after trying arc'teryx and oakley jackets I can say with confidence this will be the last AK I every buy. The Velcro cuffs Burton AK jackets have at the moments are garbage, don't count on the velcro sticking after 2+ days on the mountain. I would give this jacket 4-4.5 stars if it was priced around $200, but $300+ is a joke. MUCH better jackets out there.
