It’s time to escape the gapers and hit the backcountry, and the AK 2L LZ Down Jacket from Burton can keep you warm and dry if the weather takes a surprising turn for the worse and gets downright blizzardy. Gore-Tex protection from shell to seam keeps out the wet, and goose-down insulation corrals your body heat should things get frigid. All that heat trapping goodness is balanced by underarm venting and ultra-breathable fabric to keep you from feeling muggy.
- Gore-Tex Performance Shell 2L blocks water and lets your body breathe
- 600-Fill down gives you hardcore insulation against the most brutal cold
- Fully taped seams with Gore-Seam tape help prevent water from sneaking in
- Riri Aquazip water-resistant zippers help stop water from sneaking in through your zips
- Pow-grip hidden strap on the inside of the sleeve can be wrapped around your thumb to create an additional seal so snow doesn’t creep up your sleeve
- Sig fit gives you room to layer without excess bagginess and a little extra sleeve to go over your gloves

Love this jacket! It's like wearing a down sleeping bag wrapped in a tarp, you will not get cold or wet.....Now for the negatives, pit zips should be made like other Burton jackets I own with bigger zipper pulls and mesh. This along with maybe changing the pocket layout would be the only changes I'd make as far as comfort and warmth go I've never owned a better jacket.

This is one of the nicest jackets you can buy period. The combination of down and goretex makes those miserable days the best ones of the year. No longer do you need to add layer upon layer when it dumps in January, just roll out of bed and put this on and you'll be good to go for the day. Not only is this one of the warmest, most waterproof jackets out there, its also incredibly light and easy to move around in. AK or bust
