Burton AK 2L Gore-tex Stagger Pant - Men's - 09/10 - 2009

With Gore-Tex Performance Shell material, the Burton Men's AK 2L Stagger Pant will have your back… er, ass covered. These shell pants feature fleece at the seat and knees, RiRi AQUAzip water-resistant zippers, Link Zip jacket-to-pant interface, and Gore Seam Tape to guarantee you’re dry and warm—so if you wake up in a snow bank with a plastic-party cup in your hand at least you’ll know your lower limbs won’t be popsicles. When you stagger to the mountain the next day, Crossflow Venting will take care of cold sweats as you hike to those fresh stashes. After all, nothing cures a hangover like fresh powder.

Bottom Line: For all-mountain staggering.

Great snow pants

Got these last week and got to try them out on monday. They're super comfortable and lightweight but they still keep you nice and warm. They're kind of thin so you might need to rock another layer of fleece or something other than your base layer on the coldest of days but that's no big deal.

They're a little more baggy than I'm used to but I kinda like it.

They're also 100% waterproof. I spilled a beer on mine and it just beaded right off.

Put these on and rip it.

Literally.

I spent about 10 days in these pants last season and the seams in the seat pulled apart leaving a large rip in the butt. The seams at the boot cuffs pulled apart also. Durability is the big problem here.I really wanted to like these pants, the waterproofing was great, the shell was good for warm spring days but you could layer for colder days too. I also like the style (simple, good looking cut), and fit which was just the right amount of baggy. As much as I liked everything else, for $300+ I expect the pants to be bombproof. Thankfully Dogfunk allowed me to return the pants - great service as always!

Very happy with my Burton AK Stagger Pants

By:

Great pants, The Goretex keeps the wind out. However, for warmer days I can open the vents to cool down. These pants fit well, allow me to move easily, and keep me dry in spring conditions. They seem to be wearing well, but I my season has ended. So I'll have to evaluate overall wear later. At this point, I recommend them.

Burton has got it together

I recently bought a AK Stagger jacket and was so impressed with it. I have a pair of 686 Smarty pants. I love them, but these, there is nothing you can compare them to. They're so light weight and warm. The venting in the back and inner thigh is truly remarkable. These are especially great for those late spring days, where the bluebird skies are out and the snow is sloppy...Great job Burton!

sick pants

This was the 1st set of ak outerwear that I've ever purchased. I had a really hard time justifying the price of the ak stuff. In the past I would've rather have purchased 2 pairs of cheaper(10k)pants than 1 expensive gore-tex pant. this pant has made me change my view on things. I can't say enough good things about Burton's ak outerwear. i love these pants and will definitely purchase more of burton ak line! you get what you pay for!
