Description

Keep winter's worst at bay.

When winter hits you with its worst, strike back with the Burton Men's AK 2L Swash Gore-Tex Jacket. The AK Swash is a fresh update to the long-standing and familiar AK Stagger Jacket, with materials designed to withstand the harshest storms and rugged terrain, a functional fit for unrestricted mobility, and engineered warmth to help you brave sub-zero temps. The Swash is your best weapon against the brutal whims of winter.

Guaranteed waterproof breathable two-layer Gore-Tex fabric shields you from the elements from the outside while allowing moisture to escape so you don't get drenched with sweat on the inside, and fully taped seams with Gore-Seam tape prevent moisture from seeping in through the cracks. Primaloft insulation in the upper back and front body keeps your core toasty without overheating the rest of your body, and the DryRide UltraWick lining carries moisture away from your skin.

The AK fit features engineered articulation to allow for total freedom of movement and it allows room to layer underneath without being baggy or bulky. Zippered underarm vents let you dump heat when you're huffing it to the peak, and the contoured hood with a micro-adjust cinch shields your head from the storm when the weather suddenly turns on you. A removable stretch powder skirt with jacket-to-pant interface keeps the snow out on waist-deep days.

This jacket is perfect.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Although it claims to be a boarder jacket, this is an awsome ski jacket. I live in Colorado tele-ski and alpine, in all kinds of weather. Sometime the wind is crazy strong, other times the sun is shining and it warms up during the day.

This jacket has enough space to comfortable wear layers, it has insulation but not too much. When I'm tele skiing I tend to get hot, so the pit zips come in handy. But in the worst weather you feel totally bomber in this jacket, it's long and has a powder skirt, which came in hand this year. It has lots of pockets for goggles, sandwiches and whatever else.

Bottom line - great jacket for year round skiing.

This jacket is perfect.

Top Qualilty is back at Burton

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have Burton jackets in my closet from back in 1993 and I must say that althought the stitching is wearing out the fabric is still holding up. After seeing questionable quality in other Burton coats at local sport shops over the years, I took a chance on this to quickly replace my old Burton shell with a failed zipper. The quality was exactly what I have come to expect from Burton. Material is durable, zippers are of the newest design and waterproof quality is immediately apparent. Fits loose, just like a snowboarder would prefer. Snow skirt will do its job as well keeping snow out from any tumble. Highly recommend going straight to the top of the Burton line and scoring this AK jacket.
At 6'2" 225 with long arms, XXL size was a slight bit long in the arms, loose on the body. Face guard collar is designed to meet up with the bottom of your goggles in a tuck. Well thought out!

Responded on

Hey Teemu,
It looks like we are currently out of stock in that colorway. Tide, Duck, and Workwear Print colorways have the XXL in stock.

Baller jacket.

I use this jacket as my main jacket for skiing in the Tetons the last six seasons. It is awesome from super Jackson cold days, blower pow to warmer spring days, you just got layer it right. The jacket is super awesome.

The AK line has a lifetime warranty, I got my first jacket on Whiskey Militia years back & got it covered when it got worn down, getting a brand new replacement jacket. You can't go wrong with this jacket.

Ninja Black is the way to go out in style so nobody see the line you don't want anyone else to hit but yourself.
