Great pants, meh customer service (Burton)
My 3rd season with pants. Never wet and warm. With just a base layer I've worn them in -20F conditions all day (Stowe, VT) and was totally warm. Only problem I had was last year the plastic belt holder broke. I contacted Burton told them what happened (all I needed was the clip). They made me send back my pants (I paid). It took them about 2 weeks to send them back- and all they did was put a new belt in a plastic bag. Burton could have saved time and my money by just sending that in the first place. It's a 50 cent piece, max. The pants are first rate though. Would purchase again (paid full price for these, btw)
And if you don't know by now, Dogfunk is the best. I've purchase literally tens of thousands of dollars worth of equipment from them (via SAC,WM, etc... ) ZERO problems.
Really high-quality, and very waterproof
A quick note on sizing - go a size down if you're on the fence. These fit a little big.
Wore these up in Vermont at Stowe and Killington. It was -15 degrees and below for 2 out of 3 days and I didn't feel a thing! Snowed one day no wetness. I'm gonna keep it real, I'm cheap. But these pants were worth EVERY penny. Lightweight, good fit, and comfortable. The seams seemed to be coming apart a little bit already, but that is what the lifetime warranty is for...
These pants are the straight up FUNK no water gettin thru these bad boys ..... just got back from Canada and they met my expectations 'n then some.... These pants are the REAL DEAL no doubt about it
Nice 'n' dry!
These AK Gore pants are both comfortable and very water-resistant. This is the first season that I have not had a wet backside after boarding all day. The cross-flow vents are great; they give you the option of how much venting to have. The only drawback is that the zippers kind of stick a little since they have water resistant covers, but its a small price to pay to have a dry backside.
Great pants. Can't wait to take them in the pow. I have owned a lot of pants but they are by far the best I have owned.
Very solid pant!
Been wearing these pants for about a month now and I am very impressed. The fit is very nice, baggy, but not so baggy that you can't walk around. Super burly construction with fully tapped seams, and the Gore-Tex keeps you dry (still have yet to get wet in them). I really enjoy the large pockets which also keep your things dry and the side vents help a lot to cool you down. Only downsides to the pants are that the side vents don't function as easily as I would have liked them too, and they need to put scuff guards on the ankles so skiers can use them!
Burton ak 3l pants!!
these pants are great, the tough outside is resistant to ripping on bushes trees whatever you come across always keeping you dry, a good substitute for not going a full mountaineering pant for riding some backcountry and in resort
My Favorite Riding Pants!!!
I love this Burton pant for resort riding and backcountry. Very comfortable and stylish but not overly baggy like some. Extremely durable, and I never get wet in them at all! Fit is a little short compared to other snowboarding pants so you might want to jump up a size. I am 6ft 2in, 175lb and have a large - wish I had an XL for the length.
