Description

You’ll probably do the same if you were in his shoes.

You could continue to wear that ratty hoody you've had since 1999 on the hill; the one that lets anything more forceful than a kitten whisper chill you to the bone. Or you could wise the hell up and grab the Burton AK Blitzer Hooded Fleece Jacket. The Windstopper lining ensures that even the windiest days leave you warm as a mother's love, and it breathes like a fat kid on a treadmill when you heat up on a backcountry hike.

Great Hoodie

Love the cut. Wear it almost daily. Only down side it he the fabric in the hood is not attached to the shell, so it is annoying when it turns inside out.

Great hoodie/layering piece

Very nice layering piece to add to the collection. Your intended use will likely determine the size you choose. For example, I am 6'2" 220lbs and usually wear and XL sweatshirt when wandering around town. However my planned use for this piece is a insulating layer under my AK Burn shell so I went with the Large. The fit is good and is slimmer than I usually wear but again it works perfect for layering. The quality is excellent as expected with any [ak] piece. One thing not shown in the photo is that it has a AK logo on the back of the sholder, probably 3"x3". I will try to post photos if I remember. All in all, worth the money.

Good idea - Bad execution

Was really pumped when it came out. Extremely dissapointed when I got it.

The fabric inside sticks to all other types of fabric and it's too loose. Can't put it on without the liner coming out of the sleeves and getting bunched up in other areas. It should have been bonded to the outter shell. The fit is good, the windstopper fabric is outstanding, and it looks good. But I'm afraid the construction isn't up to par. Too bad, it was a great idea.

What size and color did you get? I might be interested in buying it from you. I want another one, but BC won't kick me a discount.

The bomb (shelter)!

This thing is absolutely amazing! I bought this to wear on my motorcycle in cooler weather. I wear under clothes body armor and needed something bright that also blocked the wind (I like to ride in a hoody). I went on my first ride today, upper 50's, sunny and about 20 mph winds, on the highway at 70 mph, this thing does the job. It is absolutely a brick wall against the wind and very comfortable. I am 5-8 135 and bought the medium (need a bit of extra room for my body armor), works great. I could go with a small for casual wear or to layer under my shell, but this will work both ways also. I am thinking about getting a black one in size small, for being out and about in Iowa winter. Burton hit a home run here (I am normally a TNF guy). This will be an ultimate layering piece under my TNF gore-tex shell for the hardcore stuff...

Ok, I like this hoody so much, I bought a second one. It is windy where I live and gets quite cold, the small is a perfect fit without my body armor. I do not have the same issues as the other reviewer.

A huge shout out to Backcountry, needed this for the weekend and they upgraded my shipping for free, keeps me coming back. Thanks BC!
