Description

Give cold and wet weather a punch to the face.

Whether you're hunting big lines in Alaska's Chugach or crushing your local powder stashes, the Burton Men's AK 3L Hover Mitten will protect your paws from the cold and wet weather. The Gore-Tex 3-layer fabric provides exceptional protection from moisture and is breathable enough to wear when you're getting the goods on your splitter.

The two included removable liners let you customize the amount of warmth you need given the day's conditions. For the extra cold days, Burton threw in its Dryride Thermex fleece mitten with goose down insulation along the back of the hand. On warmer days, just throw in the 4-way stretch DryRide Thermex liner for a more moderate amount of warmth. The Gnar Guard leather palm has enough grip to put the hold on slippery beer cans, and the ergonomic fit keeps everything comfortable for a full day of riding.

  • Fully taped seams
  • Two included removable liners
  • One liner with DryRide thermex and down fill

These fit smaller than usual.

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I usually wear a medium but the finger length in the liner gloves were smaller than usually. Bummer I had to pay $6.95 to return them for a larger size when I usually wear medium in Burton gloves.

Warm and durable

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've owned 2 pairs of these mitts and by far they're my favorite of any glove or mitt that i've owned. My first pair lasted me 10 seasons and I wore the crap out of them. Just purchased a new pair and look forward to having warm hands for another 10 years hopefully. The mitts are great as the mitt itself has a mitt liner and they also come with a glove liner that fits inside the mitt liner. You have plenty of room to put a heater pack if you need it on the below zero days. Having the glove liner be able to slip into the mitt liner is great when you're buckling in or tying your boots on a cold day.
