Layering is great, but it sucks when you have to put on so many that you end up looking like the over-dressed little kid from A Christmas Story. The Burton AK Lagger jacket’s hybrid Thermacore/high-pile fleece insulation keeps you toasty while still allowing great freedom of movement. The ripstop nylon outer fabric is ultra-breathable to keep you from overheating on long hikes, and the stretchy side panels and ergonomic collar minimize bunching underneath your shell.

I got this jacket in Blue. It looks awesome and it's really comfortable. I love the length. Seems to run a little small around the chest and hips. I got this jacket for touring/hiking as I have the ArcTeryx Atom - which is super warm but not very breathable. This jacket is very breathable - but not very warm. It doesn't even shed water a little bit - so don't wear it out if it's raining/snowing. Overall - it's a good mid layer that breathes really well.
