Description

Get airborne without limitations.

Shaun White's boot of choice, the Burton AWOL Snowboard Boots bring freestyle-focused performance without breaking the bank. With trickle-down tech from more expensive models, the AWOLs pack enough cushioning to ride away from flat landings, and a soft, forgiving flex that appeals to both beginners and season shredders alike.
  • Air cushioning in heel area absorbs impact for a smoother ride
  • Flex Spine backstay balances lateral mobility with heelside response
  • Thin Profile 3D Molded Tongue reduces kinking for a smooth, progressive flex

Great and lightweight

Love these boots. They standout on the slopes and are comfortable for full day's ride. Super lightweight and dry, they have good flex, but are still sturdy enough for some all-mountain runs. And the colors pop like nothing else on the slopes... I definitely get more compliments on the boots than my riding.

i have 2 questions...

1. not sure if i should get these or the burton moto's. which ones are better?
2. i'm a size 9.5, the closest thing to that with the awol's is a 10. should i get the 10? (i'm 17 and probably will still grow more in shoe size)

If you spend a lot of your time in the park, I would go with the Awol. It has a couple park specific features. If you are going to spend a lot of time cruising groomers, the Moto would be fine. One major difference between these boots is the lacing systems- so just choose your preference there.

As far as size goes, you should get whatever size fits you now. If you buy a boot that is a little big just so it will fit for a longer period of time, you will have heel lift now, and that is no fun. I generally wear a 10.5 in most shoes, but an 11 fits me perfectly in Burton boots.
