Description

Burton created the Blunt Snowboard for riders who rip a little harder and abuse their boards a little more than others.

Burton built the Blunt Snowboard as tough as a tank and gave it a soft, buttery flex to help you throw down with style on every rail or box you encounter. A negative core profile lets you nose and tail press like you always dreamed of doing, and a low swing weight helps you get in that 270 onto the rail. Burton used an easy-to-maintain Lightspeed Vision base to save you from all-night P-tex sessions and still give you enough speed to hit the big park kickers or gap your neighbor's car. Burton's new rail-ready edge tune lets you slide without hangups. Best of all, the Blunt Snowboard won't bleed you dry if you ride hard enough to need a new board every season. *Available for US Shipment Only. *We can't control which color base you get. But we're confident you'll dig it. - Fall 2008.

GOOD BOARD

Today with all these Rocker, reverse camber, bdr all that crap, its good to someimes have a simple board that gets the job done. This is that board. I am an advanced rider but still like the blunt because I feel like its an all around great board. Its not too noodly soft like a lot of park boards thes days but deffinatly isnt too stiff. Ths makes it awesome for jumps and park. So the next time your friend complains about how unsturdy his new rocker is in high speeeds or how when hitting jumps it just doesnt feel unnatural...you have the right to laugh

I would reccomend you to get the '10 version becuase its way more flexy and has the V-Rocker techno

all around solid board but...

this board does have a ton of pop and is all around great but the problem i have had with it, is that the top sheet is cracking due to a bit hit i took last year.
i still highly recommend this board to any skill set.

Would this be a good board for my style?

I used to only ride powder but since I live Illinois now i not usually only hit park and a little park should I get this? Would this survive the powder once or twice a year? Or would it be a bust? ( better then the rental I use to have haha)

Responded on

It's always going to be a twin, but set the bindings when your freeing up the pow pow. It all depends on the rider. Sweet sesh.

This board doesnt use Butron's ICS binding system does it?

I really want the Burton Blunt 142 but I have people telling me I should get one thats 145. Last year was my first year snowboarding so I dont know the measurements or anything. Im 5'2 and about 100 pounds. Ill ride whatever I can. What should I stick with the 145 or go with the 142 I just dont want the 142 to be to small.

Responded on

well well well...based on your weight, I'd say you can go either route. The smaller the board, the easier it is to manuver...so I'd say, being your second year out, I would go with the 42...longer boards are better for traction at higher speeds, but can be a bit harder to get around with.

Bottom line: I would rock the 42, easier to whip around....besides....it's only 3 centimeters...

Can you tell me the differences between the 09 Burton Blunt and the 2010 model (besides graphics)?

Responded on

Yah - there is a HUGE difference between this year and last year's blunt. If your looking at graphics alone, def take last year's because this year's is nothing special.

other than that..your ganna want to invest in the extra $$ in this years model. It uses burton's "rocker" technology, reverse camber. I had no idea what this was till i looked it up online, youtube "reverse camber" and you will find hours of videos talking about it. basically its a whole new style of snowboard, geared specifically towards park (and some applications deep powder) riders. I bought a 2010 capita horrorscope fk from Dogfunk, and it actually came in today (looking at this puppie right now)...

compared to my 05 peter line forum, its worlds apart. cant wait to actually ride on it!
hope this helps - happy shreding!

if i order 151cm what color will i get? is there anyway to pick color?

Responded on

Sorry, no chance in picking your color. Burton is like that. They just ship boards with random colors on it. It's luck of the draw. I guess if you don't like the color they give you, you can send it back for a full refund. You'll have to pay shipping though.

Responded on

it comes in green

To be Blunt, This board is great!

I've been riding Burton boards for over 8 years now. I've rode expensive boards and cheap boards and this thing is awesome. I am 5'6" tall 165lbs and ride the 155cm. I hit jumps and freeride the mountain side. I know the description says it's a park board but the flex and pop is great on the mountain it takes the jarring off your knees and sends you into another tight carve. Performs like a $600.00 borard. Well worth the price.

I know it's been asked before, but I'm not too sure what the answer meant. But I just wanted to know, what the color would be for say the 151 (is it the pictured green one) or the 155 (is it the pictured black/red one). All of the shots I have seen online, seem to suggest that the size you order, determines the color spec of that size. i.e. one color for a certain size.

Responded on

Yup! The 151 comes in Green bro! Same for the 155(black/red). Those colors are discontinued but be sure you talk online with the chat function to verify with DF before you order. Board safe homie!

Responded on

I ordered the Burton Blunt 155 (Black n Red color shown in pics above) from THIS site... and 2 days later it arrived on my doorstep... BLACK and RED!

So, the color isn't Guaranteed.. but MOST LIKELY you'll get the color according to size shown above.. you'll have to cross your fingers with color no matter what if you're getting last years model for 1/2 off...

Good

Awesome board for the price. Good flex and pop. Very light weight. The only problem I had was the top sheet cracking but nothing major still a great board especially with burton customs.

Buy this Board

This board is not worth the cheap price. It's just as good as the Love, Un...Inc or Jermey Jones. It'll tear up the park but not ur walet.

For this Price, its an awesome board...

Board is light, and easy to control your self. I don't want it to talk as a professor snowboarder, but this board helps me alot to balance my self alot... It is an awesome board, i would recommended...
