Okay...I've really been wanting these things and at this price they're hard to pass up. I'm 5'9 with about a 31-32 waist and usually wear a 30-32 inseam in jeans. So should I go medium or small?
Shredwise
Member since
If you get a small, they will fit properly (not baggy). I suggest the medium though. They'll look way better because they'll be looser, but not thugged out. Also when you're shreddin out, pants tend to feel tighter because you move around a lot doing sweet tail blocks and whatnot. go medium, and if my sizing advice just sucks, you can always exchange them for a different size no questions asked.

Love these pants. Wore them for the first time for snowboarding and kept me dry. They are a bit long though. I'm 5'10''. All of the things in the pockets stayed dried.

is the chlorophyll the same color, because on the burton website it looks a lot more like a neon sort of green, here it looks more like a mix of neon and like trench green or something...

it is not quite as bright in person as on the Burton site... check this picture!

so if i want a brighter color, since i only got black pants and a black jacket, not to mention black boots, gloves, and a black and white board (actually that is all coincidence, different people got me different colored stuff for christmas) would this be fine or would something like the curacao be better?
ryan

or would it be better to get the poacher pants in like barrier yellow or dolphinium... because that is also a bit cheaper then these.
Love these pants.

This is my fourth season in these. They are absolutely great! I have one complaint and I'll get it over with right now... the waterproofing. These are not indefinitely waterproof, they have to be replenished after a while. I found they lasted for 1 season with two full days in the rain before wearing out. You can easily get waterproofer and fix the issue. For the price I don't really mind that these aren't 100% waterproof. Even if you don't re-waterproof as long as you don't ride in rain or spend a lot of time on the ground you'll stay dry. Okay, these are really pretty warm too considering there is no actual insulation. I've worn these in down to -20 degrees with a light pair of pj's underneath and been perfectly warm. They also have a ton of pockets to stash stuff, plus vents for the spring, and the little clips that keep you pants from dragging on the parking lot. The sizes are true. I've got a 34 waist and these (size large) have a little room left to layer stuff underneath, but not so much room they fall off. The fit is good and not to baggy overall, just right. Bottom line, these are my favorite pants. Mine, after 3 and a half years of really hard use are just starting to wear out, and when they do they're being replaced with another pair of Burton Cargo Pants.

Burton Cargo pants. Awesome. This is my second pair after loosing my 2004 pair.
They are Burton's medium cut (sig fig) and therefor have just the right amount of baggyness. I'm usually a 32 x 32 and if anything, they are slightly big round the waist - but the internal adjustable velcro allows the waist to reduce down to about a 31" if you've stayed off the pies!
The legs are also slightly long, but this is sorted out as soon as you put your boots on, and open the ankle zips.
Hightly Recomended!

I would roll with a medium. this will be long enough to cover your legs, and the waist won't be too big.
Baggy but bomb proof

I wear a 33x32 pant size... and bought the medium. DANG, they are baggy. Still functional though. I love them because they're water proof as all get out, tough (been crashing through a few trees and no damage so far) fit nicely, and the vents work great!
Other than the being a bit too baggy I would give them 5 stars.
I think these will last me a long long time. :)
Cargos for life.

Very thick, very warm. Great pants and will keep you comfortable in any weather. A little baggy so but order by waist size.

I wore these pants for the first time and they performed great! If you want more room, go with a larger size. 6 days of riding in Austria and never once got wet. They did the job!. I plan to buy another pair.

I have used these pants 3 times in the last month. All times were really good conditions so it didn't really test the waterproofing, but that said didn't feel a bit of wetness anywhere. No insulation can be a drag if it's really cold outside, you'll have to put on a few layers, but works well in the high 20's and 30's. Definitely go with the smaller size if you're in between two sizes. Good Pants! Certainly get the job done
Awesome!

I purchased these pants in early November and have been using them since. The waterproofing on these pants is awsome and will keep you dry in most weather conditions. One really cool thing not mentioned about these pants is that the bottom of the pants can be rolled up and secured with a button so they don't get scuffed up in the parking lot. These pants have fairly large pockets(two of them being lined with fleece.) Adjustable waist band really comes in handy when you don't have the luxury of a belt. Even thought these pants aren't insulated they're still pretty warm, most likely due to the mess lining. These pants are a little baggy but I guess that just adds to the style and in that case, these pants have a lot of it.
awesome pants

I bought these pants a year ago. best pants ive ever owned, i could prob go swimming in them and stay dry, and if you get a little heated up, zip the vents down the legs down and stay cool. i think they are pretty loose fitting pants, kinda baggy, but im shorter so that could be y.
