The classic cargo cut from a different cloth.

The utilitarian shred pant that is the Burton Men's Cargo Pant is often imitated, never duplicated and always asked for by name among novices and seasoned vets alike. Sig Fit styling lets you layer it on without being overly baggy, and copious cargo pockets made mid-day lodge stops a thing of the past. Whether you're riding in bright sunlight or through riotous snowstorms, the Cargo pant keeps your precious cargo dry and protected from the weather.

DryRide Durashell plain weave holds up to the scrapes and scuffs of your hard-riding ways and less than gentle sleet storms. In this waterproof and breathable pant, you'll be able to hike to hit the sweet stash or be taken to the top in style and comfort.  Mesh-lined vents give your guys room to breathe when temperatures rise, and the breathable fabric helps moisture vapor a memory for long-riding comfort. Burton's Sig Fit leaves it loose for layering but you'll never feel like you're wearing a skirt. An internal audio packet keeps the music pumping when you jettison your jacket. Anti-scuff cuffs and cuff elevators mean your hems won't be tattered and torn from walking to and from the parking lot, and ankle slits let you set how much bottom hem stays open.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I wore these pants all season long. They were comfortable and kept me dry for the most part. Nice baggy feel and great pockets and buttons. But the problem comes with the quality of these pants. The fabric is not very durable, my boards edge also cut into the ankle of the pants. The pull string on the legs to keep the pant legs dry are an amazing idea. But burton dropped the ball again and only secured these with what looks like tape. These broke the first day I wore the pants. The pants were still usable just had to roll the legs up when I wasn't wearing boots. The waist is adjustable with velcro straps. Remember that these are not insulated and to size so you can layer. I got the true penny color, looks more like burnt orange but it was cool.

My husband is happy!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

My husband is a little guy and it's hard to find pants for him. It's also hard to find him on the mountain because he usually can only find black or dark clothes. Enter Burton Cargo Pants size XS - they fit him perfectly and come in the greatest colors - I bought him bright green and orange. These are well made, long lasting, wash well.....if my picky husband is happy, they have to be good!

Hello everyone.
The belt is adjustable or not?

Hey Andrey,

Thanks for your question.

These pants do have an integrated adjustable waist.

I hope this helps.

I'm interested in the True Penny color, is this more of a copper or brown?

Responded on

I'd call it a copper color (hence the name). Seems to have a bit of a shine to it.

Cool pants

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased the Cyanide color, really cool. Not sure if the pictures show the pant pattern, but there is nice textured style to the pants which makes the pants look more rugged then glossy; like a matted finish. The pants fit slim with with wide boot and are very durable. Highly recommend if you like the cut.

Stone Hut

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Just ordered these pants in the stone hut. I purchased these thinking they would be more of a grey, but instead they are more khaki than anything. Besides that the pants feel great. However, I am in need of a grey pants.

Try these before spending $275+ others

This pant has been in the Burton line-up forever. It's the Honda Accord of snowboard pants. There will always be something better out there, but is anyone ever really "unhappy" with a Honda Accord? I currently have, and have had, several different colors and model years of this product and can not bring myself to spend my money anywhere else. I use the pants for low elevation, PNW (wet) lift-served riding, and have no issues with moisture management. Water beads up when the pants are clean, and eventually soaks into the outer fabric layer when they're dirty and need to be washed. Shocking. 100-ish days it what you should expect from a pair. I'm 5'10" 150lbs, size small.

Super useful review - have a pair of these sitting in plastic wrap and debated returning them for some AK 2Ls. I'll give these a shot this weekend at Mammoth instead.

Also, I'm about the same size (31" waist, 155lbs, 5'10") and can confirm that the small is the right size for me.

how do these fit through the thighs? I have a hard time finding snowboard pants to fit the way I want them to. If they are too tight through the legs then it just aggravates me and I feel all restricted trying to ride. Anyone got any feedback?

Responded on

Hey Landon,
The Sig Fit is going to be baggy, without being overly gigantic. It should leave you enough room to move around comfortably, definitely not restricting. If they're too tight, you can of course return or exchange them!

Responded on

I got a pair of larges the other day and might try the XL. The larges seem long but just a wee bit tight. I typically wear 686 pants and have to go with the XL. I'm 5'9, but weigh in about 185-90 stocky. Big legs etc. I think if you are slightly thinner or taller they are true to size, but I might have a preference to baggier stuff. I'll report back after I try the XL.

Responded on

Update the XL's are CONSIDERABLY bigger. Huge jump up. Returned both sizes and will stick with 686 it seems.

Incorrect Size

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Love the pants so far but the run really huge! I am a size 38-40 so I got the XXL but it seems more like a 42-44. I am going to return and order an XL and see how that fits. Other than that, they seem very high quality!
