Burton Cartel EST Snowboard Binding - 2012

For a binding that can truly do it all, look no further than the Burton Cartel EST. The Cartel has been the pros' choice for years (even for some who don't ride for Burton) , and the EST version only improves board feeling on this already legendary binding. Built to handle anything you can throw at it, the Cartel will comfortably guide you from the park to the steeps and back.

  • Single-component highback delivers lightning-quick response in a simple package
  • MicroFLAD tool-free forward-lean adjuster allows you to fine tune your forward lean on the fly
  • EST-optimized baseplate eliminates unnecessary weight and puts your feet closer to your board
  • Features recycled materials in the highback and baseplate to reduce waste
  • SensoryBED cushioning with B3 gel lessens impact on your feet whether you're ripping through crud or doing bomb drops in the streets
  • AutoCANT footbed automatically puts your foot in a natural position to increase control and reduce fatigue
  • React ankle straps and Gettagrip Capstraps lock your feet in comfortably and securely
  • Smooth Glide buckles click in and out like butter, every time
  • Compatible with Burton Channel boards ONLY

Bottom Line: If it were a bullet, it'd be of the magic variety.

Seeing that they are more on the stiffer side, how well do they perform in park? I wanted bindings that can go down the mountain while still be responsive but still have some play in the park. Thanks

You're looking at a good binder for that. These bindings kill it in any terrain. They do not feel super stiff for having a rating of 7. These bindings are super comfy and are just as at home in the park as they are riding big mountain.

Rode by more pros than any other binding on the market the Cartel defines pro-level performance. AutoCANT cushioning reduces fatigue and provides smoother, more direct board control. The lightest weight, most comfortable straps yet team up with a redesigned hi-back to wrap a new level of response around your boots. EST gives you the unlimited stance options and true board flex you deserve.
