Burton Cartel EST Snowboard Binding - 2008

The Cartel EST Snowboard Binding blends one of the most popular freestyle designs ever with Burton’s revolutionary new mounting system. Slap this stiff freestyle binding on an ICS Burton snowboard, and see the difference that EST can make in your riding. This system allows instant edge-to-edge transfers without compromising end-to-end flex, so you can butter like nothing else and still stomp a 50-footer. Burton includes their Canted Living Hinge Team Skyback II for serious stability at high speeds and an Ultra Capstrap toe strap to keep your feet solidly locked in place. **DISCONTINUED**

Bottom Line: The one you've been waiting for.

not really my thing

By:
January 14, 2011

i'm not really a fan of EST technology. although it has unlimited setting which is a plus but the bindings do slide off the setting i have it on the board. so i have to readjust everytime i go back to the slopes. maybe cuz im an aggressive rider.

Great Bindings for anything

By:
May 25, 2009

These are supper comfort, but very responsible bindings. They are very good for just riding or cruising park. They work especially great with the shredbed on the burton V-rockers 09/10 or any other burton boards, the shred bed makes you feel like on the board absolutely great . They are one of the best bindings i ever strapped with. Get them for sure!!!!!

BEDs Removed

By:
April 29, 2009

here is what it looks like without the beds, looks crazy!...and there is an innovative and simple system for setting the binding angles even without the beds in, so you arent flying blind when you want the ultimate board feel

Zero/Reverse camber perfection

By:
June 3, 2009

I have to say that im not too thrilled about burtons EST system, because it prevents me from putting say some ride CAD's on my custom x, but one thing i really do like this that extra cushy padding underfoot from the BED's and no baseplate is great for Burton's rocker boards, i have the Hero and since you have to "Land on the bolts"...or your two feet and not the back of the board, you need all the effective padding you can get, and these definitly deliver.

Will uptade when i have put more time on them.

Hardware Comes With The Board!

By:
April 29, 2009

this is all the hardware you will ever need for an ICS board, and it comes with the board, not the bindings.

A. bolts are slid into the channel
B. these plugs are used to keep the bolts from falling out of the channel if by some mis-hap
C. (optional) retro disks for using non-est BURTON bindings
D. 4 screws bolt everything down tight

These Bindings Rock

By: Dogfunk.com Employee
November 25, 2008

These bindings are super durable and have an amazing response time. From the park to charging big lines all over the mountain these bindings kill it. The EST stance system is amazing. You can customize your stance almost indefinitely. I highly recommend these.

So Cush

By:
May 21, 2009

I snagged the late 08 editions last year. This things are so cush and have great response too, it's like they read my mind. The only gripe I have about these is that after awhile the ratchet on the toe caps gets weaker over time and sometimes slides off which is a pain. Especially when you're taking these through the park. Other than that, these things rock!

I have baught a new burton board with the new channel system

I have baught a new burton board with the new channel system and i'm now looking for bindings. Is there any hardware that i need to already have to put these bindings on the board or does the hardware come with the bindings? What is the hardware thats required?

The only hardware is 4 screws, 4 bolts, and two plates called "retro plates" made for fitting standard burton bindings, you only need the 4 screws ad bolts for EST bindings...all hardware should have come with the ICS board. if it didnt, first you should contact the store you got it from and tell em you need the hardware, and if they dont have any then contact burton and they will send you all hardware for free

When I got the bindings I was stoked, until I noticed that the bolts and adapter plate was missing. Shame, but it happens! Otherwise they're awesome!
