Armed with crazy adjustability, Burton's highest highback, and a ghost-weight chassis, the Cartel Bindings give freestyle junkies the control and confidence to stomp everything. The Cartel Bindings take advantage of Burton's Superstrap ankle straps and park-favorite Convertible Capstraps, which can switch into normal toe straps, for a convincing combination of comfort and control. OTT padding protects calves from highback bite and dampens excess chatter. Optimize your fit with the Smooth Glide buckles and tool-free strap length adjusters. The Cartel's precise control lets you line up for park hits with the confidence that Burton has your back. *Available for US Shipment Only.
Great binding, awesome handling and response. This is my second Cartel already. I had last years model and my highback broke on the last day of the season, but Burton was so nice to send me this year's model at no extra charge. Everything that is just for the looks on the Cartel comes off fairly easily, such as the little copper parts on the side. That's the only reason why it just isn't enough for 5 stars.
The "Team Skyback" is great! I've used MISSIONs, P1s, and the CARTEL is my fav! I mostly ride park, unless there's pow. The Cartels are more responsive than the mission, and give better board feel than the P1's IMO. Also, there so many pro's w/o binding sponsors rockin' Cartel's; like Wigg & Finch, so they must be solid.
Thanks to Dog Funk for putting up with my returning my original order after I managed to use the wrong sizing chart! They did it fast and it was a no hassle deal. Anyway, these are light, flexible and tough and everybody who's jumped on them loves em. Do be aware that the adjustment screw on the upper strap creates a pressure point that you can really feel on your ankle if you keep strapped in all day. It would be good if they increased the density of the foam around it or put in a small plate to spread the pressure. Also, I had to dab some super glue on the toe cap stitching because it started to back out after a couple of days. Looks like it wasn't tied off very well at the end of the stitch. All easy fixes and in the end I'd buy them again. Super light and tons of set up positions.

After reading the rave reviews about this binding I had to comment. I purchased the Cartels about 1 1/2 years ago. So far I have had two broken high backs, the hardware that secures the high back came off somewhere on the slopes. I think the material and design they used is very poor. I will not be purchasing Burton bindings again.
I've been riding these for two seasons now. They are wicked light and very responsive. You can launch big in the park as well as in the deep. For the price these are every bit as good as the P1, which are a bit stiffer.
The cartels are bomb. My first bindings, and I don't know if i'll ever switch. The skyback feels a little funny the first time, but after a few runs you can't even feel it.
These bindings are awesome... These bindings are super stiff and the capstrap is really comfy... They look outstanding one is white fading to black the other is black to white...
What is there to say about the Cartel that hasn't been said before? This binding does it all at only a fraction of the cost of other higher-end bindings. Burton steps things up every year with all their products and just when you think things are perfect, they push further. This year's Cartels come with tool-free adjustments, and super cushy bases along with everything else the previous Cartels came with. I love the colors this year as well. They are soo responsive and comfy. I look forward to riding these bindings for years to come. The only drawbacks I noticed was the backs tend to wiggle side to side a bit. Other than that... these bindings are perfect.
These bindings are so rad. The response on them is great. They look so good on any board. Burton makes the coolest looking bindings I've ever seen. You may not think the same though.
I've got these bindings riding on my Baron ES and I must say they're unbelievably comfortable and responsive. These things have been around a while and there's a reason they're still around: THEY'RE WORTH EVERY PENNY. One thing I recommend is keeping the high-back adjustment screw stocked with Loc-Tite because it seems to like coming loose after you unclip after a day's riding. Other than that, these bindings will take you through everything you want them too. Great all-mountain binding.
These park/freestyle specific bindings are surprisingly comfortable, lightweight, and responsive. The Team Sky Back also helps with responsiveness in the park and throwing down tricks off natural features. Throw it down with some buds and get the Cartel and show them who is the Jefe is.
