SICKNESS

AWESOME!!! LOVE these things!!! Best pair i ever had... very resposive... sick in the park great on the groomers and sweet on the pow! You cant go wrong wit these on ur board!

many adjustable features

I'm new to snowboarding and they are the only set of bindings I've used.

There are many different adjustments to dial in the fit. Easy to mount and hold your foot to the board well.

I have these mounted to a Head I. CT KERS board and use Salomon Malumute Boots. Everything seems to work well together.

Please take this with a grain of salt because I've only been snowboarding a handful of times. What I can tell you is that none of the equipment has caused any problems.

Sweet Stuff!

These were really good bindings, I love getting into toe straps! Just makes it feel secure!

sweet bindings

great bindings, ive noticed a lot less choppiness riding this year with this binding, although it took me a run to get used to the responsiveness of them. highly recommended although if youre new id lean towards something less responsive for a season or two then stepping up to these

Thumbs down

I tested these for a day and was not impressed. They did have very good board feel and were very easy to adjust. The problem with them was that they kept coming loose and would move around on the board, which was super sketchy. I ended up having to tighten them down after almost every run. Not sure if there was something wrong with these particular ones, but they were no bueno.

The best cartels i think burton has put out so far. Toe strap is a much improvment and they finally got rid of those stupid metal things on the heel cup!

Killer

Padded, responsive, cushy, reliable. Hard to beat Burton bindings. You can adjust them many different ways so they will be even more responsive than they are right out of the box. Easy to adjust the strap length with out tools, the high back can be easily aligned with your back edge. There is cushioning under foot and the straps are nice and soft too. Burton buckles can't be beat for reliability.

After a month or so of riding these, they are too damn soft. Fucking limp and not very responsive. Not great if you are an agressive free rider looking for a binding that will respond quickly.

very nice

I don't ask much from my bindings just that they work. These do much better than expected they have features I never knew I needed. The padding on the footbed serves as a great cushion but also make the base much easier to clear of snow for the days when the snow is a little more sticky. The high backs are super solid and come all the way up to the top of my boot which I love, and the toe caps are a huge improvement from my last binding which had the first generation toe caps that were always slipping on me the new ones are a real tacky rubber that hold in place.

will these work on the burton process?

Responded on

Hey Tyler,

No, the Process is an ICS board, you need EST bindings for that.

Responded on

actually yes they will, you can get the m6 transition kit and hook em up, then your ready to go

Responded on

You can use them but the Cartel Est is meant especially for that binding system. So on the EST bindings there are no base plates or bottoms really your boot rests on padding which rests on the the board. So the EST bindings are a little lighter and the mounting point is on the side.

Great Binding!

I love the cartels. They are a strong and sturdy binding. It gives the rider great control over. I really don't have any complaints about these bindings. The gel heel does make a difference when it comes to comfort. As well as the canted highbacks. One great feature that isn't mentioned is that the toe strap and the main straps are tool-free as well. The hardware is easy and smooth to operate. I have no issues tightening them up or taking them off with mittens even on the move.

2010 burtel cartel

Great bindings,

Great feel, I had ordered the wrong size and backcountry just shipped me a new pair it was easy. Also, you can feel the difference in comfort and the new cap strap is very secure. The only thing which is buttons fault is the new pad that is on the bottom is a little confusing.. It pulls up from the back with little clips to get to the plate to mount them. But other than that super happy with them. Use backcountry for sure most satisfied I have ever been with a supplier.

I swear by these guys

If you are going to buy anything by burton by these bindings. They are super responsive, light, durable, and very comfortable. The pads on the base plate dampen the ride so you your ride is as smooth as possible The straps slide right on and off even if your feet are buried in snow just reach-down and they come right off,so you dont get stuck. They also always look way sic.

Same Reliable Cartels

I have really enjoyed my Cartels. They are one of Burton's tried and true bindings. Mid flex, comfy footbed, and pretty plush but minimalist straps as well with no pressure points. You CAN find more comfortable straps but they are usually 5lb pillows. The B3 gel on the footbed is legit, and there are pleanty of adjustable features like you would find on most high end bindings.

I also always love Burton's ratchets, they run smooth and last for quite a while. I usually strip my straps way before the actual ratchet teeth and I crank the holy crap out of my bindings. Replacement straps are $5 at my local shop.

I wear an 8.5 Burton boot and have these in a Medium. All my straps and adjustments are in their middle positions. They could go smaller or bigger still.
