Top of the freestyle food chain.

Inspired by two of nature's most ruthless killers, the Burton Cobrashark Snowboard Binding delivers raw, animalistic power for launching, pressing, and buttering your way through the park and across the entire mountain. We probably would have just called them the Beartiger or Spidermoose, but the ganj in Vermont is really, really good. Or, uh, so we hear.

  • Winged highback with a park-dialed flex for effortless tweaks and locked-in presses
  • EVA baseplate cushioning takes the bite out of flat landings
  • Asymmetrical straps improve leverage for butters and pressing tricks

The malavitas have a upgraded ankle strap and toe cap and more padding in the footbed. They are an upgraded version in simple terms.

are these bindings basically the same as last years burton infidel binding?

Responded on

yea they are but these are a little softer in flex. and the base plate on the infidels is the p1 and these are customs.

The wing on the high back is the same but the Infidels have a lot more upgrades and a crazy awesome baseplate. The Cobrashark was mad to be a soft affordable version of the infidel. I think they nailed is spot on. These bindings are playful yet responsive and are durable enough for anyone. You will not be disappointed.

What is the difference between the 2010 Infidel bindings and these bindings? what makes the Infidels 100$ more expensive?

Best Answer Responded on

The simple answer is better materials are used in the Infidels. The Infidel has a "Hinge Dual component Park Blend" Baseplate. This baseplate is similar to the P1.1 and the new Prophecy. The top and bottom sections of the baseplate are differenct stiffnesses, this allows the bindings to roll and flex better giving the rider better board control. The Infidel also has the ultra capstrap. The cobrashark is a tuned down version of the Infidel. If you want to save some money then run the cobrasharks. Both are great bindings, perfect for Park riding.

does anybody know how well these bindings perform? no snow will be arriving in my area for a while, but i was going to pick up my bindings fairly soon. I was thinking these or the malavitas for park/ alittle mountain riding. but I like the price of these ALOT more then the malavitas

The cobra sharks are awesome. They preform the way they were created for. These bindings are soft but supportive. They are a perfect jib and jump binding. You will be stoked from day one with these for sure.
